It was THE day I had been waiting for!! I was going to see Steven Gerrard in person! (^_^)v

I was going to see my favourite football team ever- Liverpool!! playing right in front of my eyes...

It was the last week of lectures and we had a presentation in the morning.. Was supposed to sit for the final examination of Intro to Financial Markets as well but we were given the option to sit for the paper on that day or next Tue... I chose the latter.. Why? I don't know..HaHa

The presentation went alright as each person were only given 2 minutes to talk! I was the first to go in my group and the introduction of members already took 1.5 minutes! o_O

After all the presentations, we took some photos with our classmates... My project groupmates! - (clockwise from top left): Derek, Xuejin (both from NTU), Fred(from CUHK) and me! We had to invest HKD100 000 into the HK stock market as our project (virtually.. not for real but the price of the stocks follow the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong's).. our group lost about HKD100+ ... It was a fun project.. except maybe the written report part..HaHa... :)

Huiyie, Merlin (from Macau but studying in CUHK) and me! Merlin was our cute cute classmate in both the Intro to Financial Market module and Fundamentals in Chinese Medicine module.. He skipped many of the Chinese Meds class and we took the lecture notes for him.. In return, he promised to treat us to tea but he's such a busy man! We didn't get to claim the cup of tea but we'll wait til he comes to visit us ;) Merlin was my permanent source of cantonese practice... He spoke only cantonese to HY and I... I found it rather difficult initially BUT it was a super good experience.. :)He got a shock when we spoke to him in Cantonese the first time! and he thinks Malaysia is such a unique place cause we can speak so many languages... HaHa :D

After all the photo taking, HY and I rushed back to i-house to meet the rest of the gang... due to some misunderstanding the day before.. and a sudden increment of people who wanted to join us for the football match, we had to split into smaller groups... the Malaysians got splitted from their normal bridge kakis... 3 of us + Jeremy + Edward + Jiaxin went to Shanghai Street @ Jordan for dim sum lunch before proceeding to HK Stadium~

Finally, we reached the HK Stadium!! and we presented out tic at the Student Ticket Holder entrance... HKD100 = SGD 20 = RM45 for a Liverpool match! cheap :)



people were fast filling up the stadium.. the red part at the bottom are South China team supporters (not Liverpool's)..
3rd-4th placing was between Fulham and South China team... the captain of South China team is my new idol.. cute and talented! he won the Man of the Match that night :)

At 8.30pm, the much awaited match started! Everyone was so excited and high...

And our seats were so good! Basically, with cheap student tickets, the seats are not too good.. our assigned section was directly behind the goal... So, to see the whole match, we should sit higher up.. But, we decided we wanted to see the players more than the match.. We sat at about the 3 or 4th row from the net! and the Liverpool players on the bench were warming up right in front of us! at the small small grass part behind the goal net! WaHaHa.. ecstatic!

The star of the night- Steven Gerrard! everytime he turned over, the crowd went crazy! He spent of his time warming up at the little field.. and spent only the last 10 minutes in the match!! Ah! It was a goalless draw at the end of 90 minutes...

Penalty shootout followed and Gerrard was the first to go.. and he SCORED! :)

But the rest of the shootout was a disaster...

Liverpool LOST! unbelievable...

The Man U fans - Jeremy and HY were happy.. the rest were not.. :(

I left the stadium, hungry, sweaty and sad..

Met the rest outside the stadium... and the whole big gang of us went to eat supper at Shatin...

We reached i-house around 1+am and they few of us decided to play bridge after we take our shower...

only four of us kept to our promise to play!- HY, KH, me and Zhenghui ... we played and played and played.. by the time i looked at my watch it was already 4.30AM! But at that time, we were all very high from analysing our strategies and some wanted to win more... So, we continued playing and by the time we felt tired, the sun had already came out!! it was 6AM when we decided to sleep.. ZzZz

I woke up at 11AM cause was supposed to meet Merlin to get his textbook to study for exams!! Then the same four of us with panda eyes went for lunch at Coffee Corner :)
