My Journey in KL~
(this post was saved as draft since Mon nite.. too lazy..)
1st of all.. Trish and Atilia got voted out in the first Spectaculars of MI2!!! what?!! that is the stupidest result ever!!! i seriously think that Ash buys tonnes of reload card to vote for himself... if not, he will never go this far...sigh.. trish and atilia may not go far..but then they are good singer..especially Atilia..i'm not really a fan..but i have to agree that her voice is really good! sigh.. that's the nature of the competition.. but then, i seriously think this kind of result is giving a bad name to Malaysian audience.. *speechless* definitely will affect the rating of the show.. maybe 8tv was trying to give an element of surprise by giving this kind of result.. in my opinion, this certainly will backfire..

back to the main thing..i just came back from KL..
It all began one fine day when i was chatting with Chien Wen..and she was saying that she wants to go to watch Daniel in person..just to see how good looking he is larr.. and i thought, "hey, they gave free tickets to the Wildcard Show..maybe they will do the same for the Spectaculars.." so, suddenly this wonderful plan came into my mind..i was back in Singapore , 2 weeks ahead of term time.. besides harmo pract, i am practically kinda free..so i decided to go to KL..
But was only half confirmed..cause as always, i am lazy...
Then when i was really excited to go ( cause Spectacular show on Fri nite, meet and greet on Sat and Result show on Sun nite..can maximize my time in KL.. and this will be the only time when i can see all Top11 finalists.. 2 will be eliminated on sunday..), i found out that there are NO free tickets for the Spectaculars! i need to join contest.. answer 3 simple questions, which were quite simple..but complete a slogan.. (>.<) .. i s**k at slogans..but i joined nonetheless.. twice..hehe.. and i even emailed CW that i might not be able to go as I will be having a combined practice with Chinese Orchestra on Saturday..and high possibility that i won't win the tickets.. On Thurs afternoon after i signed up for a new hp plan, bought a new hp (erm...which made me unofficially broke), i got a phone call from my small sis.. I WON THE TICKETS TO MI2 1st SPECTACULARS SHOW!) OMG!!! right on the spot, i made up my mind to go to KL afterall.. i haven't been travelling anywhere at all in this 3 months..and i havent been to KL for 2 years.. spend Thursday til early Fri morning, arranging transport to Plaza Alam Sentral (which not many ppl know about..sigh..why???).. woke up early on Fri morning (before 7am.. >.< ) and took the 2nd A1 to leave PGP.. took bus 200 to Buona Vista .. then, MRT to Kranji, crossed the road and took 160 to the custom..reached JB custom at about 9+am.. went to withdraw money and was shocked when i realised i had less money than i thought i have.. which was terrible news cause i didnt bring enough S$ to change to RM... (>0<) .. bought a reload card..and boarded 170 to Larkin.. once i reached Larkin, there were people selling tickets to us..and since i thought i was in a hurry, i bought from the person straight .. RM28 (got cheated la..sigh..) but i got a double seat with no one sitting beside me..so, i sat one, my bag sat one..haha..
reached KL around 2+pm.. and took out Ee Ling's instructions.. got to Plaza Rakyat LRT station by following the LRT track..haha..luckily didnt go the opposite direction.. then couldnt find the Bank Negara KTM station as the pedestrian walkway looked like it's going towards a mosque..haha.. but then i spotted the train track..took the Rawang train to Sungai Buloh.. wher Ee Ling's MAID ( who looks really cool, blonde streaks in the hair and wear sunglasses..) picked me up .. Ee Ling's house was not far away.. in a place called Seriamas ( if i didnt remember wrongly).. super nice house!! super nice place.. so posh.. met up with Ee Ling in her holiday villa-looking house.. chatted a while..with her small bro also ( who is very cute..haha..CFC..)..then Ee Ling brought me to eat good food in KL ( as compared to Singapore.. *winkz*)..
But, erm.. she brought me to Kayu Nasi Kandar, which is F.Y.I, originated from Penang..haha..but i had never tried the one in Penang.. it was good.. though kinda expensive.. very big serving though.. 0(>.<)O very full..
Girls' stomach always have space for desserts no matter how full they are..hehe.. went to buy bread for Chien Wen, then went to eat Mango Lo ( a type of ice dessert with blended mango and mango pieces..) The workers were quite slow le.. which caused me a lot of trouble after eating..
Ee Ling dropped me at Taman Bahagia (or is it Taman Jaya) LRT station.. I am suppose to take to KL Sentral and changed to KTM to Shah Alam.. at least 6-7 stops to KL Sentral and 10 stops to Shah Alam.. was suppose to be at Plaza Alam Sentral at 745pm.. i was dropped at LRT at 7pm..*sweats* and KTM was late!! the train was suppose to come at 739pm.. but it came at 755pm!!! and there were SO MANY PPL!! everyone rushed in..and me, just came from Singapore brought kiasuness with me and chiong in as well..wuahaha.. but KTM is infamous for being slow also.. and it was the most torturous train ride i had ever taken!!
I was stuck at the train connector where there is no air cond.. and was constantly checking my watch..and callin Chien Wen cause i was definitely late for the ticket collection.. she went ahead to collect on my behalf 1st..and reminded her to beg 8tv to let me in even though i might be late.. ( at that time, i thought after 815pm was considered late..but it was actually no entry after 930pm only..)
Finally reached Shah Alam station at 820pm..rushed out of the station and jumped onto a taxi..without even asking the price and all.. quite scary cause i was all alone..in a big, bad city like KL.. in a taxi with tinted glasses and totally had no idea where is Plaza Alam Sentral.. Luckily, the taxi driver was a nice man..charged me RM5 ( not bad considering chienwen took a cab with 3 others and was charged RM4) .. rushed into the building and called cw again.. went to take the lift and i bumped into Jacsville's president ( Jacyln Victor's official fan club) + a pretty girl (whom i can't recall the name) + Chengostrova ( leng zhai ^_^) .. all are forummers in bluehyppo MI forum.. they dont know me though cause i newbie ma.. but i followed them..hehe..
Reached Sri Pentas 2..and saw chienwen queuing up...*phew* finally there.. we were not allowed to enter yet also.. only did when it was nearer to 930pm..
anywayz, being a forummer, i do get better tickets i guess.. but somehow we didnt end up in a really good place..family members got the BEST seats.. me and chienwen were sitting right behind the judges..2nd row..on the 1st row were the aforementioned forummers..and those behind were forummers too.. Leng zhai Ostrova was in front ..hehe..

Malaysian Idol 2 (1st Spectaculars)
woohoo!! I was there!! "live" at the 1st ever Spectacular of Malaysian Idol 2!! It was great... though the audience wasn't really lively..and the lights were terrible..damn hot!! and I was sitting behind the judges, so when the judges comment, the lights will be directed at our direction.. (>.<) ...
and sadly, i didn't manage to meet Daniel in person.. but i seriously think his family members were there..as there were 1 old man, 1 old woman, 1 young man, 1 boy and 1 girl who all look like Daniel..and they were carrying his poster.. so, erm.. my friend and I took a picture with that little boy..hahah.. by the way, the boy is cuter than Daniel .. ( look like gwailo kid)..
And we took pics with Paul Moss, Jien, Cheryl and Andrew.. my friend also took with Dina.. and I took a pic of Saiful.. (some of the Malaysian Idol 1 finalists were there..) Lisa was there also..but i wasnt really interested in her..hehe.. Cheryl was the nicest.. she reminded us to go for the Result Show on sunday night.. Jien was cute but he seemed really tired and all.. hmmm.. Andrew was very nice also.. and he has nice voice.. ^_^
Personally, i wasn't impressed by Daniel's performance.. It was a safe song choice as stated by one of the judges.. But he should project his voice more.. i know he speaks softly..but he needs to learn to sing more loudly..The "live" audience wasn't very supportive of him also..which is kinda sad.. hopefully he has a large fan base in Penang and Kedah who will vote for him.. (>.~)
okie..gtg.. still in KL..will be going to The Curve later.. maybe will be able to meet the Idols again..more update when i'm back in Singapore.. woohoo!!

Cultured!

And this is a close up of Daniel during the photoshoot.. so CUN!!! and smooth complexion..plus nice lips.. (^_^) and nice hair... \(=n_n=)/
Well, from one singing to another.. I watched a choir performance today at UCC.. it was a preview performance before their real performance at Victoria Concert Hall on Thu and Fri nite... preview was free..concert is not..hehe.. the choir group consists of boys about the age of 11-16/17 ( my guess only..)..and they are from America.. very very cute little boys..and nice performance.. though i only know 3 songs that they sang,(they performed for an hour)
.. nevertheless, it was great.. quite refreshing..and when they finished singing, all the boys will come down from the stage and shake our hands.. so we can tell them how was their performance and all.. i shaked this little boy's hand and told him," Good Job"..he thanked me.. so cute.. >.<
Then, winson, xuehui, kahying and I shaked another boy's hand.. his eyes were so pretty that all four of us gasped at the same time after he walked away.. "The eyes so nice!" Some looked like typical American boys that you will see on TV and expect to see.. Some looked like Chinese and there was one that looked like Mongolian with "mushroom hairstyle"..hahah..
In these 3 days that i reached Singapore, I had been to the UCC 4 times! talking about being cultured!! *phew* I wonder whether i need to go to UCC again tomorrow..ahah.. but it's a nice place i should say.. so full of arts and culture..nice ambience.. just that there is no food or drinks sold except at DOME, which is expensive larr..
oh...and i liked the new photo function by blogspot..way easier..

Back in Singapore~
I'm back in Singapore..back to NUS...back to PGP... so tired now.. still got bags and boxes of stuf.. luckily i dont have a lot of things.. but going to unpack tomorrow only since i want to redecorate my room..if i unpack tonight, i would just simply chuck things here and there so that i can sleep earlier..hehe...
Today had been another mixed day..but it's more to bad things happened..then only got recovery..sigh.. after painstakingly drag my heavy bags to PGP, checked in and got my transponder, i walked happily to my room.. finally, i can mop the floor, take a bath and sleep..*phew*..
when i reach my room, switched on the fan and lights, and went to the toilet..when i came back, the fan was slowing down..so i switched it off and on again.. then i realised, the switches were no longer working.. OMG!!! no fan!! no lights!! warm like mad larr.. had to go back to the office to report..and the woman at the counter told me that she will send a technician TOMORROW!!! my eyes nearly fell out.. i patiently told her that i can't possibly stay in a room without fan and lights.. so she put "URGENT" by the side of the damage form..*phew* the technicians were fast too..came to fix my problem promptly.. --> Happy Happy...
then, somehow, i managed to lock my drawer but unable to open it back.. (>.<) ..and my tops are all in there.. i had to go out without tops! argh!! (was goin for harmonica practice..)
then i went to report again... ooh..and before that, i went to management office to borrow trolley TWICE! cause i forgot to bring my matric card or any form of identification. The only thing i have is my hp.. really felt like placing my hp there in exchange for the trolley..sigh..so, i had been to the office 4 times in a day... GREAT..
in the evening, finally, i had fan and lights.. reported my damage.. successfully sneaked into my old block to get my toiletries (had been there playing with the lift a few times before getting in..sigh..),moved all my stuff back into my room and unpacked the more important things, and bought my LAN cable, mopped my floor..and wiped all the furnitures.. *phew* time to bath and prepare to go harmo pract.. miraculously, when i tried to open the drawer again, it opened! woohoo!! - but now i have to go and "de-report" the damage..but the office had closed..
Realised i did not have my horn to go for harmo pract..called TN and i had to go to rehearsal room near LT13 to get my horn before going to Japanese Primary School for pract..sigh.. and it rained super heavily!! and i was wearing my stupid slippery slippers! no wonder they are called SLIPpers.. if it's wet, you can SLIP!! luckily i had KY with me.. when we reached JPS, we were drenched.. sigh..and there were only 2 other person there! More people came as it got later.. hmm.. came back to PGP...unpacked some stuff and watched " Take My Words for It" (something like that.. HK drama about Police Negotiator...yeah..watched before liao..) ..typed a little of this post..and slept..like a pig! though woke up a few things as it was raining heavily at nite.. and it was SOOO COLD... brrr...
yesterday was another tiring day.. so this post was kept in draft til today..hehe...

Mixed Day
One moment it was good news, the next moment.. *whoosh* became bad news.. or one moment came one good news.. *whoosh* the very next moment came a bad news.. weird weird day..
Early this morning my dad was telling me that the Ringgit Malaysia (RM) is not longer pegged to the US dollar..yeah! which means RM will go up and less will be needed to exchange for Singapore dollar (as speculated..) .. cool.. cause i'm going back this Sunday and my dad need to change some money for me.. good news..
came to my dad's shop and he started go online to find exchange rate..(my dad can surf the Net but only one site-> KLSE Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange..haha)..and he found out that S$ went up!! RM2.31=S$1 ... *sweats* it was RM2.25=S$1 when my dad wanted to change yesterday and the money changer said not to change yet..bad news... (>.~)
Then I checked my mail..and found a good news mail..yeah yeah yeah..finally!!! Then i realise, erm..it's not a great news after all.. cause.. i have my reasons..
Then this downloading of drama is giving me headache.. 99.9% completed but could not complete totally as no one with the complete version is online to share.. grrr... but then i found a site to download this Five for Fighting song that i like a lot..--> Superman.. was performed by a collegemate during Talentime..and i immediately fell in love with that song..the group who performed that song won "Best Overall Performance"! The lead singer was good! ^_^
And i just got scolded by my dad... for reminding him to fetch my sis!! should not be busybody.. grrrr...

Life in NUS~
I'm going back to NUS this Sunday..New semester is starting on 10th Aug but i'm going back earlier as I have to attend harmonica practice in preparation for the Centennial Celebration Concert on 24th Aug.. NUS is celebrating 100 years of excellent education. So is pharmacy department.. celebrating 100 years of pharmacy education.. well, the picture below had been in my comp for quite some time.. forgot to blog about it..The guy in the middle in black singlet is Ah Ping from Island a.k.a "nian shao" ( a malaysian band consisting of 2 guys- Ah Ping and Ah Ming)..the guy on his left is his friend.. I took this picture in an MRT on my way to Orchard with Su Wan to meet Yu Jen.. I was just sitting opposite him and i guessed he realised we were staring at him..so he took out his hp and started playing with it the whole journey til he reached his destination at Sommerset station...This was one of the rare chances where I got to see "stars" so near..
My friend bumped into JJ Lin Junjie at Orchard Road before.. :( I never met anyone famous at Orchard Road...
As the title of this post suggests, I want to show some of the pics i took in NUS ( not exactly inside NUS..but the life i have..)
One of our favourite celebration is to eat at NUS McD cause it's cheaper than outside.. and it's at Engin..haha..(>.~) But it closes quite early..so we have to go to the McD at West Coast Park that opens til 2am while the drive thru is 24 hours..
Erm..SW, JE, CC and SM pretending to drive and be in a car when we went to WCP McD as it was after 2am..so have to buy at the drive thru... quite stupid huh? luckily i'm the camerawoman..hahaha..
On weekends, we cook..to taste better food and to save some money..It's cheaper to cook...
On Saturdays, we go to watch plays.. mostly by the different halls in NUS.. last 2 sems, we went to KE7, Sheares and KR's Hall play..

We had camp..this was Harmonica camp..our slippers..just for fun.. ^_^

Or go to ECP for a bicycle ride or to watch sunrise.. (n_n) 
Or watch performance at the Esplanade.. and i meant FREE performances.. The picture below was a Jazz performance.. Not that i like Jazz..It puts me to sleep..but the feel there was quite nice.. and you get to see people..many types of people..and feel the river breeze.. not bad at all..
But most of the time, we study..study real hard..study like there is no tomorrow..study hard, play hard.. that's life in NUS~
That's my bedroom floor.. quite little things as this was 1st sem..and my table and rack were crowded, so they had to be on my floor..That's my Edison file, chem book, notes and my printer..hehe..

firstly, what's up with the previous post? ( hint: I had nothing interesting to blog so i decided to not blog..haha..and said something funny..) nevermind then..
well.. i'm a little scared by malaysians supporting malaysian idol..or rather the forummers in blue hyppo.. >_~ i know different people have their own preference but some forummers can be really hostile..and in some threads, forummers are arguing and i think they might fight if they are to meet each other in person..SCARY... though i like to keep my post as mild as possible, i still get replies that're kinda scary i feel... should refrain from posting too much..
but one thing about Malaysian Idol, use land line to vote..cause :
- It's cheaper than SMS, if i'm not wrong.. RM0.65/call and RM0.50+service charge/SMS (which amount to RM1.50/SMS as i heard)
- You get to hear your favourite idol say "thank you" to you! which is a great tactic used by the organiser..when screaming teenage girls hear Daniel says," Thank you for voting for me. Terima kasih kerana mengundi saya" They will keep on calling! haha.. If i am still a teenager i know i would.. cause my small sis called after i called although she's not that crazy about Daniel like she was for Vick in Malaysian Idol 1 (only god and Digi knew how much she spend for him.. >_<)
And the 9 that got into Spectaculars are Atilia, Faizull, Xerra, Ejay, Nita, Ash, Daniel, Trish and Farah..who i think will go far? Nita.. though i like Daniel, he is not showing his fullest capability yet i feel..the best song he sang was during the audition, which was great.. then he did ok for the 1st 2 days of theater elimination but was quite unacceptable during 3rd day .. he cried on national tv ( Vick cried too last year but nobody called him a cry baby..sigh.. ) In the workshop, erm.. i was quite shocked by his song choice, which was Kavana's "Special Kind of Something" but when i listened again on Sun (repeat show), i thought it was kinda good..cause he has the voice tone that's about the same as Kavana.. maybe he should have chosen another song by Kavana, which i like a lot--> " Will You Wait for Me" ... maybe he didnt want to sing another ballad like everyone else didin WS3.. (except trish)..By looking at the Blue Hyppo forum, Daniel and Faizull are tied at the top with respect to the number of haters they have.. (>.~)
and some forummers are getting into the racial issue which is kinda sad... though i'm Chinese and am supporting Daniel, another Chinese, my choice is not based on his race.. like i preferred Saiful from MI1 to Vick.. cause Saiful is seriously more good lookin than Vick..hahaha.. (-.-) both also can sing larr...
(enough of Malaysian Idol... won't be able to watch the Spectaculars 'live'..sad..sad... )
I went to Bon Odori last Saturday...though it's held in Penang Esplanade every year, this is my first time attending... (shame on me.. >_<) http://www.pulaupinang.com/events/bonodori.shtml can read the origin of the festival though this is not an updated page..haha...
But the festival was fun!! SOOOOO many people that the handphone line jammed!!! i was so scared cause i went shopping with Stef, Aly n Jamu in the day and they dropped me off at the Esplanade after 730pm to meet up with my sis and other friends.. but i did not have a hp (or actually i have a hp without a malaysian line.. >.~) i told my sis to meet me at the stage but when i stepped into the Esplanade, i knew it was IMPOSSIBLE to see my sis..the place was so PACKED!! so i frantically looked for a public phone, praying that the phone is not vadalised by some stupid, angry teen... found one and it was working..called my sis..engaged...redial..engaged..redial..."the number you have dialled is not in service.." ARGH!!! was going to faint.. luckily the place was near jetty..emergency plan--> walk to the jetty and take ferry, then take bus back home.. OR walk around by myself 1st, then follow emergency plan A... luckily, when i called again, i got my sis and described my location.. finally found them...but then we lost 2 other friends..though the have hp, the line was totally jammed.. so we decided to walk around..went to buy sushi..yummy..jap pizza (a bit weird but ok).. fried soba.. (okok..) ...went to look at Malaysia Japanese Society's booth which had people painting faces of anyone who is willing to walk around with tattoos on their face..hehe.. then we went to buy green tea ice cream.. ^_^ ( the drummers and dancers on the stage were performing all the while..with some people joining in the dance near the stage) .. when we found a table to eat something, suddenly the lights were all dimmed.. and from the corner, something sparkly shot up into the sky..and BANG!! started the fireworks show.. IT WAS AWESOME!! though i have been to many fireworks show, Bon Odori's was still great.. maybe the fireworks were not shot up that high...after a few minutes, more fireworks coming from the opposite side of the Esplanade... so the sparkly showers were comin from two sides of us.. way cool... after more than 5 minutes of OOh-AAhhing..and neck cramp, the fireworks ended..having eaten, it was time for souvenir hunt.. i bought a badge shaped like a crown with LED lights on it..on and off the lights went..like i was wearing an ambulance..my sis got one shaped like a hot air balloon.. my friends bought jap fans..hand painted handkerchief..jap doll keychains..naruto key chain..hehe..there was a stall where you can catch gold fish using paper scoop( as i heard from my friend)..if you can get the fish out without tearing the paper, the fish will be yours.. but when we found the stall, it was already closed.. ooh..and the lucky draw prizes were greatt.. too bad i didnt drop my name into the box(as if..hehe..)..a 16 year-old girl got a CAR!!! OMG!! and the grand prize was a trip to Japan..doubly sigh.... We left when the festival ended..near 11pm.. overall, it was fun... maybe cause it was my first time there.. til next year..

Headache~
I had been suffering from headache since a few days ago.. think its due to my short-sightedness power increasing..due to decreased distance between me and my comp? don't know.. i use my laptop much much more during term time..but then i don't get such eyesore as i think i am having now.. though there was this time when my eyesore was unbearable that i went to see the doctor at YIH ( the uni's free clinic) and since it's free, i think the docs are not really experienced..cause the doc that attend to me was very funny..he could not see what's wrong with my eyes.. so he just gave me eye drops and asked me to see him again if the eyes did not heal in a week time.. luckily they did.. got free eye drops! hehehe.. better than nothing..
anyway, back to my headache.. i refrained from using my comp for a day...and when i checked mail today, my headache started coming back..why?
cause suddenly my timetable changes 180 degrees! i was suppose to take 3 core modules this semester..leaving me with space to take 2 more modules! and i had looked through the modules i want to take..and the timetable kinda fits nicely..then the CHANGE!! argh! taking 4 core mods each sem may be better than taking 3 mod in one sem and 5 mods in sem 2..but then,... my exam timetable sucks!! sucks BIG TIME!! argh!! crash crash crash.. stupid timetable.. stupid pharm department...stupid NUS admin..stupid bidding system.. stupid stupid stupid me... stupid me kena tipu to Singapore.. hahaha.. now i feel like laughing at myself..sigh.. i am crazy..
and now i forgot what i wanted to type..
cause everything covered by my anger..and frustration..sigh.. to take or not to take the risk..

went to see JJ Lin Jun Jie on Saturday evening right.. terrible Penangites.. the crowd was uncontrollable.. it was partly our problem..cause we were feeling quite old to be there way early and fight with the "teenagers"..haha..so we slowly went for our dinner.. and nicely walked there at 730pm..JJ's supposed to come at 8pm..yea right! he came at 845pm la!!! so "da pai"... cannot tahan nia.. and i'm not even a big fan.. so we were really angry at this bunch of guys and a girl ( one of the guy's gf).. i was bored and looked around..saw many girls with their bfs la.. so i was just boredly commenting that some girls just bring their bf eventhough the guys are not fans of JJ..and i thought these guys are " tin tei" ( hokkien for taking up space)..and this guy in the bunch i mentioned previously heard what i said lar.. me and my big mouth.. >_< and he told the guy with the girlfriend la.. and they started puching to the back to make their space bigger and more comfortable for THE gf to stand and watch her idol..we at the back had to suffer from this stupid, inconsiderate, "small air" ( xiao qi) guy!! and they kept on pushing.. my small sis who is a very stubborn person also pushed back and both of them were like sticking to each other.. i told my sis not to stick on that stupid guy cause my sis was on the losing end.. the guy is not leng chai..actually based on his attitude, that guy was damn ugly!! and my small sis should not even touch him.. yucks! if my small sis was not such a big fan of JJ, we would have left by then.. the heat..the waiting..the leg sore.. the stupid bunch of ungentlemanly guys at the front..and THE stupid gf that keep on staring at us as if we were eye-ing her bf..for goodness sake.. get a life!
In which case, i need to get a life also.. never never to go and fight with those senseless people again..unless my idol is here! haha..will not go again unless Nicholas, or Edison or..erm.. Mayday singing "live"..hahah.. unless my idols lorr..
ooh.. anyone who can play the cello? and will be in singapore in Aug.. and willing to play 2 pieces during NUS centennial celebration? let me know.. if you have friends who are willing .. arigato!!

tonite i'm goin to Gurney to see JJ Lin Jun Jie..(see below)
He is a Singaporean singer cum composer.. i don't particularly like him but his songs are ok..and he write them himself..so got plus point.. I'm goin cause my sis is a very big fan of him and she got the tickets..so..here i go... heehee..plus, it's a showcase and autograph session..so he will be singing "live".... ^_^
watched Malaysian Idol 2 workshop 2 yesterday...overall was worse than the 1st one..but then my favourite Nita (she's from Penang) did a good job..and she looked so stylish.. good for her.. yeah!

Today is my birthday ^_^
This year i got a few soft toys as presents.. my mom was commenting that I am too old for soft toys..haha..but i like them anywayz... like the cow a.k.a giraffe...(=n_n=) my mom is not getting me a key.. but they are getting something i want and will use..as they know i won't wear the key also...
anywayz..went to celebrate ranita's birthday yesterday..went to play pool..and i beat Stef..wuahaha.... >_< but then she paired up with RF to beat me back.. =P
and thanks to all those that message me in Friendster, here or in emails.. and thanks for the cards...e- and snail.. and of course thanks for the presents..those that had arrived and those that have not..heheh...

weird dreams~
I had been having some weird dreams these few days..my mom said it's because of the hot weather.. but my dreams had been quite real..looked real..sounded real..and those people appearing in my dreams are people i know of..so the more real there were... quite scary too.. cause I had dreams comin true before.. not really good dreams..but dreams that i never really thought about..but then they just happened.. one was really bad..but it came true.. that was really really scary..
Once i dreamt that i became the secretary of my club and i told my friends.. weeks later, i became the SECRETARY!! and i forgot about the dreams already by that time.. but my friend remembered and she reminded me.. and i was like whoa! oh no! good or bad?
might be good..but then it's definitely scarrryyyy....
well, i went shopping with Yan Min yesterday..or actually she shopped while i accompanied her.. she needed a pair of lau yi (aunty) pants and a pair of lau yi shoes..( dont know which type?) it's formerly known as court shoes i guess... it's the type your mom used to (or still *shivers*) wear to wedding dinners.. and it is SOO hard to get a proper pair!! her shoes size is 4.5 which makes it even harder to get a pair! so she finally settled for a pair with cute ribbons at the front..which i personally think looks younger than most lau yi shoes as aunties dont really wear ribbons do they? >_~
and there's something that i realise..don't know whether it's only me or is the cashier nicer to people from ang moh countries.. cause YM used her US credit card to pay..and the cashiers were scrutinising the card before swiping it.. this cashier was like " erm..this card.. you are from.." to which YM said "US..from US".. and the cashier immediately smiled sweeter and spoke more fluent English to us..she even turned and smiled at me who's just standing there waiting.. (^_^) haha.. and she said thank you with a big smile too.. Parkson in Prangin Mall has great customer service or they were told to give Americans big smile.. ( they bring lots of money...lol) that was one..and another thing that i think is kinda interesting is a

ooh..so only people with foreign passports are the mall's valuable customers? weird? or maybe cause i haven't been shopping in Penang island for quite a while.. or actually for a very long while..
cause everytime i spend money in Penang ( including Butterworth), i can see my parents working hard to earn the money while i throw them away so easily.. that's why i can only buy clothes or non-neccessary things when i am in Singapore.. cause i'm using their government's money...wuahahha.. i'm infamously known for my stinginess.. well, i'm a good daughter k! hehehe.. but i spend a lot on food.. quite bad..YM and I ate sushi at Sushi King yesterday..nice.. we ate a plate of each colour.. not on purpose although we chose the last plate based on the only colour plate that we had not order... then I ate again at Starbucks.. so expensive.. ate a chicken and mushroom pie..but it was kinda good.. and i realised the Starbucks in Penang have less choices.. ( not sure whether it's for all the drinks but certainly for the Frappucino cause i could not find my favourite one..) had to settle for the boring Mocha..and YM got cheated by the promoter to get the Frappucino Light (with less calories) .."Bet you can't even taste what's missing" proclaimed the advert proudly.. well, it's not true... you can certainly feel the lighter taste..less coffee also.. luckily i got the original one..YM was complaining the whole way...heheheh...
such a long post already..but heck..this blog is suppose to keep my memories..so i can unload my brain for more useful purpose..like Physiology (no more.. >_<), Pharm Law...pharm-related stuff... oh yea.. my dad's friend's coffee house which is across the street from Starbucks Prangin is going to close down soon.. people nowadays eat and drink brands.. there are Starbucks, secret Recipe..and many more branded food around... his shop uses Bellaroma coffee, which is supposedly a brand also..but think it's not famous enough to earn money..and the location of his shop is not that good anywayz.. in business, luck plays an important role..so think he has not much luck.. by the way, Daniel from Malaysian Idol 2 used to sing there..or still sing, i'm not sure... YM and I went to peep at Victor's (from Malaysian Idol 1) hair saloon..saw someone who looked like him..but can't be sure..not important anywayz.. just 8..hehe.. *phew* tired... going to celebrate Ranita's birthday tmr... cheers (n_n)

i'm sad today~
why i'm sad today...
- i'm reminded of my boring life ...
- most of my friends are going back to uni soon.. leavin me all alone (almost alone) in small small town of Butterworth..
- I stil haven't gotten my postcard...
- A check in friendster disappointed me.. don't ask me what happened.. :'( the saddest thing~~ sigh....
guess i don't have to continue with the list.. cause the main reason i am sad today is obviously reason no 4..
I am a very moody person.. i was quite happy this morning, though a little sleepy.. had breakfast with friends..and then went to stef's house to chit chat.. then YW sent me back..and i opened my laptop and checked my mail breathlessly.. got 2 mails from SW and JE and bunch of useless other emails.. no friendster msg... :'( mood plunge to the bottom..went underground.. think no mood to eat lunch liao... (>_<) why??? W H Y ???
moodless now..( is that even a word?) and my small sis is sick..food poisoning.. disturb my sleep yesterday nite.. and i had a nightmare early this morning.. sad life~ in the dream, i was panicky because i didnt attend any Chinese lesson at all (supposedly i'm taking a Chinese module) and the final marks are based on 40% class participation, 10% attendance and 50% final exam..i never attend any class, so the most i can get is half of the total and it is so goin to pull down my CAP (Cumulative Ave Pt)..so i was crying really badly in the dream..it all seemed so real that i have to forcd open my eyes and convinced myself that it was only a dream.. i haven't even taken that Chinese module... *phew* -_-lll
life is still cruel sometimes.. have to learn to live without the cruelness..but then as khim said, we should learn to look back..cause there is a huge bunch of friends and family supporting you from behind..quietly but surely.. and the world seems rosier...

horoscope
early this year, my friends and I read a horoscope reading that said Cancerians will be unlucky throughout the first half of the year.. by July, our fate will change for the better.. well, me n khim believed it totally since we had both been very unlucky ever since 2nd January 2005 (for me at least).. sigh.. yesterday was 1st July 2005..woohoo!! freedom from bad luck.. like real.. (-_-)"" .... my bad right leg started to ache again today.. it was so bad in early June that i practically limped from places to places.. imagine shopping with a painful leg... >_<
then when i carried a 1.5L water bottle to my dad's shop just now, i dropped it on my left foot!! now it's aching like sh*t... so both my legs are aching now.. talking about saying goodbye to my bad luck...tough luck, man..

and workshop 1 of Malaysian Idol was ok i guess.. Xerra was disappointing.. hopefully Daniel does much better (all 10 fingers crossed)... Atilia was good though.. and kinda like Shone's and Fauzi's performance too.. if i'm not mistaken, Sylvester of Singapore Idol did the same song as Shone.. but Sly did better..
I went to watch "War of the Worlds" on Thursday.. well, it was not bad i think.. everytime before i go to watch a movie, i would have read a lot of reviews on it..making sure it is a good movie before wasting my money on it.. and would have also read the storyline..or at least seen the trailer a dozen times.. but not for this movie.. i saw the half trailer thingy.. so, i didnt see the aliens.. didnt read anything on it.. so, i didnt know the story, the review.. just now it's a war between human and aliens.. totally didnt know what to expect, as i totally forgot i promised my friends to go and watch on Thursday.. ( was suppose to go out with YM..) ... anywayz, luckily the movie was good... and since i know nothing orh.. it was even more shocking.. me n RF were scared.. grrr.. my hand was stucked at the level of my mouth..haha.. cause i was stuffing popcorns into my mouth and when it reached the scary part ( the kan cheong part) , i became motionless.. same with RF too...hahaha.. heard that some ppl thought it was boring.. hmmm.. but the ending was too happy.. somebody should have died.. oops.. (n_n)
i'm still bored.. where is the meaning of my life? bring back the meaning of my life.. bring back the joy in my life.. kinda miss my freedom in singapore.. can just go anywhere... go window shopping by myself.. stil havent tried goin to a movie by myself.. hmmm.. should try soon.. sienz... to the max...

My favourite Top 24 Malaysian Idol~
Yeah!! tonite is the first workshop.. my 3 favourite idols are in the top 24.. they are DANIEL!! *screams* , Hamisah(aka Xerra) and Hanita(aka Nita)... yeah yeah..
Today is Daniel's birthday! 1st of July...He is a music student in USM and a part time singer at Unplugged cafes...He can play the guitar, violin and piano!! *more screams*
ok..sorry for the hysterical screams over Daniel..but i think if he keeps on improving on his singin skills, he can become the next Malaysian Idol..(>_<) cause he has the style..and the charm and the attractiveness.. dont believe me? go to www.malaysianidol.com and visit their forum..there is a special forum discussin about him only..and many more mentions in the other forum..out of the 24 contestants, he is one of the few that is mentioned numerous times.. and he is personally picked by Mr. PAUL MOSS when asked to name his favourites so far.. not enough reason? let's pray he dont waste his talent like what he did in the theater elimination day 3..
