Back from CNY hols~
My friendS sighed (loudly) today..
Friend A asked, "Why are there so many problems unsolved?"
Friend B corrected her, "Those are not problems. Those are uncertainties. "
Friend A sighed yet again...
and placed her head on the table....
Friend B put her hand on A's shoulder and said, "At every turn of our life, there will be a lot of uncertainties."
Coming back from the CNY break, it's time to face all the problems/ uncertainties.. time to sit down and get things down... Together :) (not so bad after all...)
It was a very fulfilling CNY break for me.. both for my physical wellness (mostly the stomach) and my mental wellness ...
It was a feast for the eyes and the stomach (definitely).... there were not as many red packets as last year.. mainly cause my maternal grandfather and my aunt (both great cooks) just passed away early this year... but the amount of red packet money that i received was surprisingly nearly the same.. hahaa.. largely, thanks to parents, bro-in-law+sis and god-parents :)
I didn't watch any new CNY movie in the cinema this year.. but i watched a lot of Louis Koo CNY movies on TV...haha...
And i got a big red present from an insect on the 3rd day of CNY.. the insect decided to feast on my right EYE LID.. which resulted in me having a swollen right eye on 3rd day of CNY.. it got worse on 4th day... and after i consulted someone in the pharmacy, (which i think is not the pharmacist), applied the ointment given, the swelling got WORSE the next day.. went to see doc on 5th day of CNY, applied the cream given and the swelling got better almost immediately..
Now, there's still a little scar left..
Not much pic taken during CNY.. due to my bad memory (forgot to bring back my handphone charger), my phone went flat on the 1st day of CNY and that's my only source of camera...
So, here's 2 pix of my sis at a playground after our reunion dinner at my paternal grandma's place in Kedah... We were on the see-saw, taking each other's pix.. my pix are in her camera.. I only have hers... (and she's wearing my new CNY shoes -__-)

Friendship Week Dinner & Dance
Last Saturday was Prince George's Park Residences (where I stay on campus)
1st ever Dinner & Dance...
It was the finale of the Friendship Week Celebration... It was held in the Kent Ridge Guild House in NUS... I went with the pharmies plus SW, XH and WS...
There were 7 of us and we shared the table with KL and Pig... Pig was the pageant contestant that night! rarely we get to sit at the same dinner table with a pageant contestant ler.. LOL...
Anyway, many people were late! which resulted in the dinner starting late... so hungry... before the dinner, we were each given a piece of heart for games later... Games?! nobody told us anything about games!
Each of us got a different character written on the heart... Mine was Mary-Jane, which means I have to find my Spiderman? haha... KY got Jane.. WX got Mrs. Smith, HY got Daisy Duck! *LOL* SW got Sophie (the one in Da Vinci Code) and XH got Josephine (the Napoleon's apparently.. I didn't know..)
And each of us was also given small piece of paper to vote for the pageant winner.... :)
Dinner was served and it's Chinese food.. 8-course.. something like wedding dinner kinda food.. Just that instead of sharks' fin soup, we had corn soup.. -__-"'
The host started the game after the 1st course came out... Nobody really paid attention to him as we were all too hungry... haha...
We were supposed to go look for our "partner"... After finding the "partner", we have to get to know him/her by asking some simple questions for a game later... The people on my table found their "partner" real fast! after only a few minutes, HY and I were the only left at the table o_O... so we decided to go look for our "partner" too..haha.. Peter Parker found me and his friend was Donald Duck! ;P I was expecting to find Spiderman actually..haha.. My "partner" is a Resident Assisstant in another residence.. also a M'sian... He was actually KY's junior! so coincidental.... after some questions and intro, we got back to our food of course!
The pageant contestant then got up on the stage for the Catwalk section... Pig was M1! and he was the best lar... the other contestants were erm.. o_O
The female pageant contestants were better.. at least we were torn between 3 choices out of the 5 contestants.. the last 2 were erm.. o__O
SW went up to play the couple game with her partner cause her partner was very enthusiastic.. and it was HILARIOUS!! I can't say what happened exactly but almost everyone laughed so hard...
Then it was Q&A session for the pageant contestants..
and the winner of the male pageant was:
PIG!!
He got himself hair saloon voucher and $50 cash.. which was spent treating his gang eat supper I think.. haha..
The pharmies and I didn't go for supper though.. haha.. in heels ler... ;)
I like this pic cause of the "Law Link" signboard at the back... Law Fac had moved to Bukit Timah campus though.. They should change the name of the road to "Computer Link" or "Business Link"... :) We managed to get on the last bus back to PGP...
And we took more pictures at PGP... haha...
Going home tomorrow night for CNY!! So excited!! But still have tons of work to be done.. This is the sem of lab reports.... >_<

Happy V Day!!
Today is Valentine's Day!
I don't have a someone special to celebrate with this year... as was last year and all those years before.. haha..
Ever since I came to Sg, V Day has been Friendship Day when I will get lotsa chocs from lovely friends... After getting into NUS, my V Day is usually celebrated with the pharmies who are single by eating good food...
This year, we are going to have a "Poolside Party"!! at Swei's.... Swei will be providing the venue and the food... so excited! yeah~

It's Friday! yeah!!
I had been wanting to blog about this place I went to last Friday in Vivo City... It's a milk bar & bakery called
Corduroy Cafe ...
We were there at night and the atmosphere in this place is really good to relax after a long and stressful day.. HY and I went there after our Biotech test for supper.. We shared a Tiramisu and Pineapple & Star Anise Milk Infusion... the Tiramisu was O.K. .. the milk infusion thing was kinda special... but the best thing has got to be the very comfortable sofa with cushion and the soothing music and dim lightings... :) very nice.... will want to go again soon!
On Saturday, the pharmers gang and I went for dinner at Fong Seng Nasi Lemak.. and we saw the same Mediacorp actor that we saw in Vivo City a few weeks ago!
He's a Malaysian but is acting in Singapore after being the runner-up in Malaysia Star Search.. One of his dramas was recently shown on NTV7 ... and I pointed at him the way I pointed at him at Vivo City a few weeks ago! hahaha.. and he was kinda embarassed but sat down to eat anyway... whoops.. :)
On Monday, PGP became the liveliest ever in my 3 years of stay here.. This whole week is Friendship Week! There was movie screening on Monday, showing "Shall We Dance?" and "Ice Princess"... It was a fun experience to be watching movie at PGP foyer

HY, Pig and I sat on the stairs while many sat on the Plaza instead... it got uncomfortable after a while..haha.. but it was a nice movie... :)
Tuesday was as normal... class from 12-2 and 4-6 while i spend 2-4pm outside Medical Library sleeping and imitating Sea Horse's accent... "Stupid Fly.... " LOL
On Wednesday, CM and I went to Vivo City again after our morning lecture.. for lunch, to buy her belt and to get my contact lens! She bought a nice white belt from Espirit but before that she saw a top that she really really likes... So, we'll get it for her birthday :) And I got a $8 off coupon from the Lucky Draw in Espirit.. nice :)
I finally got my contact lens after 8 years of wearing spectacles! I finally found the courage to go get one.. But I nearly gave up half way while trying to put on the contact lens... I guess the opening of my eyes are really small cause it was so difficult to get the lens in and out!! :( Got them in and out after a few tries... then rushed back to NUS for tutorial...
Met up with CC, Je and the gang for supper at 9pm! haha.. early supper... CC and JE will be leaving for Germany after Chinese New Year and they will be leaving from Malaysia.. so won't be seeing them off :( chatted for a while before proceeding back to PGP for Ferry and XH's birthday party at 11pm... Both of them organised the party together and ordered great food for all of us!! It was so much fun! :) I love any event with lotsa good food :) The party ended around 1am but I was so awake by then.. Only went to sleep at near 4am...
Which resulted in a terrible Thursday... couldnt wake up earlier on Thurs morning to wear my contact lens... which resulted in 1 successful insertion and 1 failed.. Had to take it out and rushed to lab at 9am.. :(
Totally went unconscious in the afternoon lecture and couldn't go on anymore.. so i skipped the tutorial at 4pm and came back to sleep.... Woke up not knowing what time was it.. and I thought I'd slept til the next morning..hahaha... Went for Yoga and the proceeded to foyer again to watch PGP Idol! a friend was a contestant.. many of his friends were there to support him... the contestants were all rather good :) My friend didn't win but he was quite good as well! just a little nervous in the beginning... :)
Woke up earlier today and successfully wore my contact lens! yeah! The optometrist told me to wear it for only 4 hours on the 1st day.. So i only wore it for the morning lab.. but it made me kinda blur ...haha.. and I was doing titration for lab today :)
During lunch, a girl came to distribute this Special Edition Valentine's Day magazine by Science Fac called "SciPhi"... my friends straight away flipped to the middle page where the Love & Friendship Dedication was...

Tomorrow is PGP's first ever Dinner & Dance at the Kent Ridge Guild House... a few of us are going cause it will be our very last semester staying in the hostel.. So, we thought of attending it.. Besides, our friend Pig will be in the Male Pageant!wahahhaha... and it's a good excuse to dress up and take lotsa pictures... besides the main reason that is to eat the 8-course meal!
LOL....
Hope the food is great :)
For now, I shall go nap and study hard ...zzzz.....

Emotionally unstable~
I am feeling rather sad now... Mainly because 2 of my good friends are leaving for Germany soon... Although we don't see each other everyday, having them around and knowing that I can always count on them is very comforting.. Now, both of them are leaving for one whole semester....

Had not been feeling too great these few days... Having some sort of indigestion which prevent me from eating normally... Plus the workload that is getting heavier and the long hours of school... I guess it has hit the toll.. A few days ago, my emotion was so unstable, I actually shed some tears in lecture after a minor and silly argument with a friend...
A lot of happenings around in hostel now as Valentine's Day draws near... nothing happening in my life though....
Feeling rather melancholic...
Sigh...
