This is one of the very very few sem breaks that are spent in Sg.. Even though this is the very first sem break that is 1 week long.. all our mid sem breaks had been less than a week.. We would start school on a Friday.. but not this time around.. Good thing.. but i'm still here ... why? I also not too sure.. got some work to do.. and basically just want to rest here...
Finally found time to post up pictures of YJ's belated bdae celebration which was like erm.. 2 weeks ago? hehe...
Starting with a photo to test YJ's camera... My iced water in Crystal Jade with their teas as the background.. hahaa... We had some nice food... Actually, HY, WX and I ate before the rest came cause we were too hungry... We shared a bowl of sour & spicy la mian and "lao shao ping an xiao long bao" which means "old, young safe" xiao long bao..haha... nice ^_^ when the rest came, we ordered a few dishes and rice... and more xiao long baoS...
Then the cake made its appearance... And they took such a long time to sing a Birthday song cause they couldnt agree on which tone to start the song with... (that's the problem when you have people from NUS A Capella.. ) hehe.. YJ actually recorded a short video of JE and HY "discussing" which tone is correct... with CC saying "too high..too high.." hahaa.. super funny... Finally we got to eat the cake which is very yummy! really!
Next was Eski Bar... I had a drink called erm.. "Sex on the Beach" (sounds SX i know. . but it's nice.. Vodka with a few types of fruit juices..), Hy had "Margarita" and WX had "Sleeping Polar Bear"... the rest had Vodka Sprite... but the drinks there were rather diluted..
Nice place to sit though.. they even provide jackets... in case you are cold.. then SM showed us why we need the jackets...
There was another room where the temperature is really low.. to maintain the Ice Bar.. really a bartop made of ice! we could see our breaths in the cold air.. and it was really very cold!
celebrated for him on Friday night at Holland V again..hehe... had dinner in Crystal Jade again... wanted to go Wala Wala after that but there were too many people there.. so we went to Eski Bar instead... nice!! will talk about it after i get the pictures from yj.. all pictures taken by YJ's new K810i with 3.2MP Cybershot phone le!! *jealous* :P
That Friday nite when we decided to go Holland V....
After our German class, we decided to go makan...
Dinner at Holland NYDC (hy only..) and cheesecakes... yummy! Then we continued to Crystal Jade for xiao long baos and la-mian... heheh..ooh, it was 9+pm when we reached Holland V.. and we rushed to Crystal Jade before the last order at 10.45pm...lolz..
We stopped by Khim's place... for some Coke and *ahem*... I didn't drink any..they did.. heheh.. WAnted to play Bridge but no poker card! So, we took photos instead... and wx toasted some marshmallows for us to eat.. whee! (^_^)
