Did i mention i finished watching Goong (Palace)?

about 2 weeks ago...

Yeah!! (^_^)v I finished watching Goong! Super nice drama!! It's goin to show in Channel U soon!! And I'm going to watch it again!! Very funny in the beginning and very touching at the end... *sobz* must watch!!

After the drama, I watched a Korean movie..

called Il Mare.. this is the original Korean version which The Lake House was adapted from.. I had not watched the Keanu Reeves version before.. My friend who watched said that it is nice! But I can say that this Korean movie is also very nice!!
In the end, the guy told the girl," Do you have time to listen to a long and magical tale?"
It was their tale... their magical love story...

Now,
Channel U is showing another Korean drama, "My Lovely Samsoon"... My friend recommended it to us.. and now it has become our main entertainment.. At 10 every night (Mon-Fri), it's Jin San Shun time!!

The girl is so ordinary that we can identify with her.. Except that she can bake really nice cake.. we can't..hehehe..
She's kinda old, single and desperate.. hahaha... But then she met the good looking and rich boss.. o_O
who by the way, has a very pretty and nice girl friend...

See the boss ! such a cute expression!! (^_^)
We all like the boss! Maybe except ky who doesnt like this attitude.. and his little boy face... wahahhaha......

Anywayz, my point is all 3 are good.. should watch... Prefer Korean drama over Taiwanese drama... But still like Japanese dramas.. and of course, nobody can be more dramatic than Hong Kong TVB drama!! always the best... Grey's Anatomy is very drama too! =)

LWX's belated birthday celebration!!!

Went to eat at this place which sells nice porridge and durian chee cheong fun at Somerset.. got a small small cake for her.. and a "Lucky Cat" ;)
By the way, the "Lucky Cat" works very well.. She wished for something and it came true! Good right? =)

Went to watch "Click" after lunch at The Cathay at Dhoby Ghaut.. and got two $5 vouchers for Ben & Jerry's.... =)
the movie was nice.. almost cried... Almost, cause he showed his middle finger to that guy before my tears successfully roll down... i laughed instead...
Anyway, the new cinema is really nice! If you go on a Sunday in August, you get 1 ticket free with every purchase of 2 tickets. Which means 3 tickets for the price of 2!! I know it's still more expensive than in Malaysia.. but it's cheaper than even if you watch movies on Mon-Wed in Sg.. PLUS, you get a lucky draw thingy that may be Ben & Jerry's voucher or if you are luckier, a "$25 voucher for Adidas"!
But if you are not lucky, then you get "Sorry. try again next time." Oops..
And the seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room.. at least for me, i had plenty of room for my short legs..hehe.. and the single seats can be converted to couple seat! hahahah...

We ended her birthday celebration with dinner at Fong Seng..followed by Bridge Session in Ky's room... and birthday girl treated us a bottle of something that i can't remember.. haha.. It was on Sunday...

In between, we did some shopping, bumped into friends, and saw the NUS floats on display outside Plaza Sing...KR Hall's float was IMPRESSIVE!!

I had fun.. I hope LWX did too! =)

Had not been blogging for a while. School had started and Week 1 just ended. The week where I have only 1 or 2 classes in a day had ended. The happy slacking week is over..
Labs and tutorials will start next week.
Yesterday, I was infected by a syndrome called "Don't-know-what-to-do"... haha.. I founded and named that syndrome.. so it can also be known as Hwachin Syndrome.. Basically, the symptoms are don't feel like studying, but don't feel like watching drama or movies, don't feel like sleeping (cause you took your afternoon nap and it's still too early to sleep), don't feel like eating (cause you had been stuffing yourself the whole day..) etc. In short, do not have anything that you want to do. So, end up with nothing to do. And feeling restless about it. The syndrome spread fast. First it was me, then it was wx..and then hy...
Well, I'm cured now. But wx is still in serious condition. It lasted til now. really...

Since I don't know what to do, I browsed through my Jap photos again... and found some photos to put up here...
When we were there, I wanted to try all those things that we can get in Sg and Msia also but originated from Japan.. We tried their takopachi (Sg's nicer..), and takoyaki (about the same..), and the usual ramen, sushi, soba, omurice..
And we also ate at Yoshinoya which was A LOT NICER than Sg's.. The rice was so nice!
Then we also saw some of the shops that we can find in Sg too..

MOS Burger..on our way back to our hotel.. We didnt eat here though..

Then, we found

Takashimaya District Gate.. We also found the exact similar Takashimaya Shopping Center..

Of course, we found Kinokuniya..

And

Daiso! ^_^

We also saw some funny adverts..

This advertisement outside a hair saloon in Kyoto showed a drawing with messy hairstyle labeled "BAD" and the other one with straight hair labeled as "Good".. haha... But apparently most people in Japan has those messy hairstyle rather than the straight one..

As can be seen from this pic, the only Japanese in the pic is the one with the very messy hair.. standing at the back with flowery shirt.. (we were in a LRT-like train to see the Rainbow Bridge)

Other special things that we found in Japan include these...

A vending machine that is found usually near the entrance of an eating place.. You put in the money and press the food that you want (just like how you would buy a Coca Cola from the drinks vending machine..)..The food does not come out from the machine though.. Not that high tech yet.. You get an order ticket-like thingy and you bring this to the cooks to prepare for you. So, you wait at the counter for the food.. This is to buy those noodles, rice etc.

There was also this HUGE handphone outside a shop.. and this can be used to call! SEriously!! We tried.. you punch in the phone number of the person that you want to call on that HUGE keypad.. and press "Call"...and then you talk like that...

There are a lot of shops selling these kind of anime-like clothings..

And you can see many girls dressed up in those costumes to give out free tissue papers.. On these packets of tissue papers are advertisements..

These are ice creams called Dipping Dots. The pink and strawberry coloured ones is called Strawberry Cheesecake (a flavour of ice cream that you now find in Ben & Jerry's too).. the one with multi-coloured balls is called erm..i forgot.. it just basically has a lot of flavours in it.. I had the "Strawberry Cheesecake" which is very nice!

Yeapz.. That's all I want to share today. I just found out there are some photos that I had not received from the trip. Going to look through them and maybe post somemore interesting photos.. ^_^

This picture reminds me of my friends... I have a friend whose friend nicknamed her "Pig".. In return, she call him "Pig" too...

My friend : Hi Pig!
Friend's friend: Hi Pig!

Hehehe.. Then there is another friend who dreams of being a pig.. But she's also waiting for her Frog Prince. How can a Pig be with a Frog? So, I asked her to wait for Pig Prince instead.. and my friend's friend should be a suitable candidate.
This is the story of the 3 "Pigs" i know.. hehe..

The pictures are very cute but I am sad today.

The irritating grown up man who pissed me off yesterday came to the shop again.. He saw me in the shop and refused to come down from the car til my dad comes back. My dad walked into the shop and asked me to go somewhere else cause the "bian tai ren"(crazy person) is here. So, i walked into the kitchen and waited there..
He brought back the 4 pairs of pants that my dad specially send to his office yesterday.. He complained that they are not properly made. The size is not right. My dad told him that wool pants are harder so they may seem a little tight at first...
He refused to listen lar.. Cause his lack of brain did not allow him to understand what my dad said. He wanted my dad to alter the pants.
And he also wanted to collect all his 6 pairs of Baju Melayu.
WTH...

There was a pair left in the worker's place which is far. My dad has to take the highway to reach the worker's place. He went there cause this barbaric man wants to collect all at 3pm.
One thing is for sure.

He WILL NOT PAY later..even when my dad has completed all his clothes. He will make all sorts of excuses. Not enough cash la. Why don't your shop accept Visa/Mastercard la.. Can i write you a check ?(which will bounce eventually or the date is like one month later)

How do i know so well? It's the same story all over again.
We are being oppressed in this modern world. I felt oppressed for the very first time in my life. Very terrible feeling.

And this barbaric person is very "small air"/"kecil hati" (don't know the best expression in English).. whenever he called the shop and hear my voice, he will not answer..he won't say a word. Siao!

Haihz.. He will come again at 3pm.

Anyway, had just started watching "Goong" (Palace), a Korean drama about a Prince and a normal girl! The girl is very cute and pretty... And she always wear PE pants under her school skirt.. very cute!

My friend introduced this drama to me and I was waiting for the one with English subtitles. Now they have it! yeah!
My friend like the Crown Prince a lot. When I watched some parts with her, I didnt find him very good looking. I prefer the other Prince, Yul, who went to England when he was 5 years old.

I'm only at episode 4 now. Cause of the slower internet connection at home. Going to continue watching it back in Sg.. Going back tonight. Hopefully will reach tomorrow morning in time to watch NUS Rag & Flag 2006.

I was thinking of compiling a "People that I Hate..." list.
Here are some of the types of people that I hate..(in no particular order)

I hate people who break promises. Especially if you promised to do something with me and went to make plans without me. Okay..maybe not hate. But i really do not like this kind of people.
I hate people who are not punctual. I know I am not the most punctual person ever. I try to be punctual. If I'm late, there must be a reason and I would be nice enough to SMS/ call you to tell you i'm goin to be late. Hate those who do not tell you and let you wait. Hate those who do not dare to reply cause they know they are going to be late.
I hate people with big ego. Those who think that they are always right. They are the standard and any deviation from them is not good.
I hate people who hate me. No larr.. I only hate that barbaric man who made me feel oppressed.
I hate people who are not responsible. People who leave things for you to mend. Or people who don't turn up for meetings etc.

I can't think of any other kind of people that i hate..

I don't like to hate people. That's why I felt so sad today. Cause of the @#$^&*...

But I hate

bittergourd. You can never force any of it into me.. No matter how you cook it. Fried with egg. in soup. stir fried with chicken. Young or old bittergourd. Bittergourd that is not bitter. Nothing!
brinjals. I eat those that are fried in Japanese food. Nothing else
Almond. maybe only those in chocolates but then i prefer my chocs without any nuts. Black chocs ^_^
Papaya. They stink-end of story.
Lizards! Actually I don't hate them. I am super terrified of them.

Nothing much i guess..
Some things that I don't hate but I don't eat them.
I don't take all sorts of beans- except maybe red beans in ais kacang, and red beans in tomato sauce. I don't even take those food that are related to beans. like soya bean milk, tau hua, tofu etc.
But I take bean sprouts and long beans..hehe..
I don't take nuts also. -walnuts, groundnuts, peanuts, cashew nuts etc.
I try to avoid peanut butter also.
Don't ask me why but i don't take mushrooms also. Not that I don't like mushrooms. I love mushrooms especially the black/dark brown kind. But I don't eat them. (So that Smurfs won't lose their houses ^_^)
I also don't eat lotus's roots.
And i also don't like that smelly celery..

what a weird post. discussing about things that i hate.
Well, I got tagged by Ally to do some number thingy... so that my friends will know me better or something like that. But i don't want to do that can, ally? I just do this "I Hate xxx" thingy... let you know me even better than if i told you Jamunes and me don't make a great les couple, thanks hor.

I was pissed then sad and no feelings now.

I typed out my anger and this fantastic nus email closed all my browsers including my Youtube which had almost finished downloading the drama i'm watching. Thanks hor..

Now that I don't feel like typing out the situation that involved a person of certain race, which I should not mention cause I don't want to be caught and throwned into jail for being racist.

Anyway, after the anger I felt sad cause my dad has to face this kind of customer nearly everyday! Even when the customer is totally wrong, my dad has to apologize...
And this irritating customer who made me very angry even complained to my dad about me.. Siao! like my dad going to fire me.. I'm not even working for my dad. I was just there looking after his shop and make sure the customers get their clothes AND PAY FOR THEM!
I think this man just did not realise that when you make clothes, YOU PAY FOR THEM! not make a big fuss about my dad knowing you for a long time.. how you make so many clothes every year.. and how my dad still has not made the Baju Melayu that you wanted a month ago.. CAUSE YOU NEED TO PAY FOR YOUR CLOTHES TO BE MADE!!

Is it very difficult to understand? Can somebody tell me?

Now my dad has to SEND the clothes PERSONALLY to him!! Which made me very sad.. cause it felt like I had brought trouble for my dad. Isn't it?
I already hold my anger cause it's my dad's shop and I still have to depend on its earning for at least 2 more years... This stopped me from telling the brainless man that he has to pay before he can leave with the pants. I just put my hand on the pants and asked whether he is paying. Then he straight away blew up and did not want to collect the pants anymore. And asked me to call my dad to call him SEKARANG! (NOW!)

My dad did not scold me like he used to.. He just kept quiet, went out to buy lunch for me and then went to send the pants to the BIG BULLY..

The man even complained about my mom. He said she knew him, so should have let him collect the pants WITHOUT PAYING!!

Do I get angry very easily? Is it just a small matter and I really had brought trouble to my dad?

I don't know but I know I hate this kind of people to the MAX.. you know the kind that likes to bring big car (which made them so poor, they can't even pay for their own clothes!)
But still want to make the most expensive clothes and in big quantity.. who the hell wears wool pants in this weather? Not only is wool pants really expensive, you have to send them to dry cleaning everytime! And these people made a big fuss when they can't afford to pay but when you ask money from them, they don't want to look poor. So they raise their voice so that they are BIGGER THAN YOU ARE... to make themselves believe that they are more superior than you just cause you are a tailor's daughter and he can drive big car and make wool pants.. and bring high tech handphone bigger than a TV remote control.

There all sorts of people in this world. But I guess the world would be happier without this kind of people. Always bullying others just because he thinks he is superior.

On a happier note, I went to Penang island yesterday. And watched "Dragon Tiger Gate"!
Heeheh... Is it good? Erm.. ok ler.. action movie with comic-like settings and characters. Since it's adapted from a comic, it should be like that right..hehe...
I like it though especially when Nicholas Tse's face filled half of the big screen! and when he made the funny face o_O!!!

And I ate char koay teow and laksa..then bought tau sar pheah back... ^_^

At home!

Last Friday was my last day of work..followed by Funtime organised by some of my coursemates. It was at a condo's function room at Toa Payoh... nice place with very nice swimming pool... Rich people's place...
However, the turn out was not too good... Many of our coursemates were too tired to make the trip to Toa Payoh... Only 1 pathetic preceptor came.. and the Assistant Pharmacy Practice Manager came. We had 4 exchange students who joined us though...
The food was not too bad... Actually they were pretty good cause i ate a lot.. or was it caused by the fact that I had been hungry for too long... You know, counting my money while eating at Orchard Road.. which made me quite deprived of food in that 6 weeks...Thanks to those who treated me drinks when they had meals with me.. like papa and nice pharmacist ^_^
We played a few games... some people won prizes and there was a lucky draw.. most of the prices were chocs..hehe... which i stole from some people to eat cause i didnt win any.. i was too tired to participate actively in anything...
But i seriously ate a lot! A lot of the longan plus fruit punch that I mixed myself.. cause the longan was with the almond jelly, served as dessert.. I hate almond.. Can't stand the smell and taste of it..so I had to mix the longan with the fruit punch to get rid of the smell..wahaha..
I left with SJ and we took the long bus ride home.. I slept almost all the way, which was about an hour... >_<
On Saturday, XH and Je accompanied me to JB for JB half day tour! yeah...1st thing we did was to check out the movies screening in the cinema.. sadly, no Dragon Tiger Gate :(
So we bought tickets to watch Lady in the Water instead... Before the movie, we ate in Secret Recipe.. yeah!! something that we wouldnt eat in Sg cause it's so expensive..hehe... But we met the blurrest waitress ever.. Let's call her BlurTown waitress... Imagine the situation:

Me: Lemon Cheese
XH: New York Cheese
JE: Yoghurt Cheese..
BT (BlurTown) waitress: so, 2 New York cheese is it?
All 3 of us: HUH?!! (and repeated our orders..)
Then we ordered drinks....
JE: Banana Milkshake
BT waitress: Banana Chocolate..
All 3 of us: BANANA MILKSHAKE!

waited....

and waited.....

took other people's newspaper and read....

waited....while turning 360 degrees to look for BT waitress...

cake came... yeapz.. ONE SLICE OF CAKE came...Lemon Cheese
Another waiter who brought the cake explained that they are out of New York Cheese and Yoghurt Cheese.. no apology though... never mind...
Waiter asked BT waitress to re-take our order.

BT waitress came and I asked her what cakes are available...

BT waitress: This, this, this, and this... all except New York Cheese And Raspberry Cheese...
XH: Classic Cheese
JE: Oreo Cheese

(as you can see, we die die must eat cheesecake...hahaha..)

Waited...
And waited....
And more waiting....

Then Oreo Cheese came! yeah!!

Eh, Oreo Cheese came alone.. waitress has 2 hands... Cheesecakes came from the same counter... But Oreo Cheese came alone...

I couldnt take it anymore, so I waved my hand frantically in the air and told the waiter that our cake had not arrived...
No apology again...
After even more waiting, another waitress appeared with the cake, put it on the table and mumbled "Classic Cheese".. no apology at all!!

Is this what we call service? And they are unashamedly charging us 10% service charge...

But we were on a happy mood.. We were on a happy trip.. to eat cheesecake, watch movie, maybe do some shopping..and I was going home!
So, we ate our cakes... XH not too happy with her Classic Cheese but the cakes were fine...

Then it was time for bill... Haihz.. Raised our hands frantically again and waited.... waited ... waited for the bill...

The table next to us was waiting for their bills too and when theirs came, it was the WRONG BILL with the WRONG CHANGE inside!! The man was furious and told BT waitress that it was the wrong bill... BT waitress took the bill, didnt say sorry and stood there with her blank expression.. she didnt know what to do... Theirs was settled when we got our bill....
I glanced at the amount and thought that it was rather expensive... I didnt notice the itmes on the bill though... But when our change came, I realised were overcharged!!
Apparently, BT waitress didnt cancel the previous 2 cake orders that were unavailable..instead, she added in our new replacement order... so we were charged for 5 cakes instead of 3!!
Whoa! the "fire" very big already... I marched to the cashier and told the waiter.. he took the bill from me without even saying sorry...
Moments later, another waitress appeared with the correct billand the correct change.. By the way,she just dropped the bill on the table.. no apology again!
What's wrong with saying sorry...especially if you are on the wrong side! I worked in service industry before and we were obliged to say sorry... "Sorry to keep you waiting..".."Sorry we do not have stock for this".. "Sorry but could you wait while i check"... "Sorry, I',m not too sure but could you hold on while i check for you?"

Haihz..

Went for the movie.. Well, it's quite a cheem story...hehe.. and irritating people in the cinema were saying "whoa..sexy-nya..." when the character was only wearing a shirt...and laughed unnecessarily... Haihz.. I was already in irritable mood... The movie was alright i guess, but JE gave it one word - "So?" ...Hahaha...

Then we went for dinner at Kenny Roger's ... This time, we were served by a rude waitress.. She didnt smile a bit... and when she accidentally dropped her menu, she didnt say sorry to us but grumbled to herself "ISH..#$#%$^$" (don't know what she said to herself la.. but it felt like "Ish, serving customers are so #$$^%^&")
Her few lines were:

"Black pepper or original?!"
"You! you! you!"
"No, dont have!"

Whatever happened to "Would you like to have Black pepper or original flavour?"
" How about you Miss?"
"Sorry, we do not have that at the moment."

Are we asking too much?
Luckily the food was good.. the chicken was very nice! :)
But they overcharged us too! There was an extra muffin in the bill that we didnt order... So weird right??
And did i mention, many things that JE ordered was not available? Hahaha..

Then both of them send me off at Merlin Tower....

Reached home on early Sunday morning... I woke up to an unknown bus station with the sign "Sungai Nibung Pulau Pinang"!!
I was on Penang Island.. overslept and I missed my stop... was feeling so sucky cause the driver did not asked all the passengers where they stopping.. and it was written on my bus ticket, "Butterworth"!!
My dad had to pay RM7.70 more to cross the bridge and not to mention the petrol..hate that driver..

But we saw the sun rise on the Penang Bridge... very nice! It started with a red line near the horizon... then it became half a sun and finally the whole sun was out! It was very red cause of some haze... took this with my phone's camera..It is so much nicer in reality!

Went for Dim Sum breakfast as usual.. And i ate more than usual.. went back home to take a nap...then had this famous Fried Hor Fun for lunch... very gooD! then slack slack..and read The Sunday Star...(hadnt done that for a long time ma..)
My dad bought durian! and dukong...(something like langsat..)
The durian was very fragrant!! yummy!!!! and i finished half of the dukong also....

Big sis and family came for dinner... Seafood dinner at Pantai Bersih...
Where we saw the sunset... HAPPY!!! Have you seen the sun rise and the sun set on the same day?? I know I just did- yesterday...
The food was good.. There were fish, prawns, vege and tofu with eggs... the prawns were super fresh and sweet!

My dad met his friend so they sat there chatting while me and bis sis's family went to the beach..
I used to come here a lot when I was younger.. Then they were building this and that.. and land reclamation.. I thought it would never be the same again.. But i was quite wrong... There were so many people on the beach.. kites were flying so high... people fishing and children making sandcastles... It was a beautiful sight..My niece enjoyed it a lot too!
See how happy she is!! ^_^

Then I went to the Buddhist Association for prayers for the lunar 7th month.. After I reached home, I already visited 3 temples with my dad.. phew...

Now i have roti canai waiting by my side.. shall publish and eat! (such a long post)

31/7/06 (Monday) 5pm

I did my 1st ever intervention by calling the doctor to confirm the dosage of the medicine.. (^_^)v

(no significance to those who dont know what i'm talkin about...)

Now i can record it down as one of the 3 interesting events during preceptorship...

Well, today is 1st of August! August is here!!!

Off to work....wheee.... (^o^)
