See my hands.. my normal left hand and my "chao tar" right hand.. Went kayakin yesterday!! It was fun though very very tiring.. and somehow, i only got sunburn on my right hand and my legs.. it's very itchy now.. (>.<)
We went to Eusoff Hall at 940am cause CC told us to be there at 10am..but they planned to leave only at 1030am.. :S We finally left Eusoff near to 11am and took bus 33 to Kallang MRT Station..strangely, only the non-Eusoffian went up the bus while the Eusoffian waited for the guy who went to get a volleyball.. -__- (non-Eusoffians include me, SW, JE, Aman n Hazel)
We reached Kallang Mrt around 1230pm and waited for the rest..then we walked to the Kallang river..we kept our bags and took out the kayak and paddles.. then Kelvin briefed us and demonstrated some paddling... then we divided ourselves in pairs and got ready to set off.. i paired up with CC .. SW went with JE..erm..why ar? cause i only know them..Aman went with Hazel... hmm.. but think i made the wrong decision la..cause CC might had wanted to pair up with someone (*ahem*) else..kekekek.. but CC was very steady..so it was not as scary as my first time kayaking at Batu Ferringhi..we reached Gay Beach (officially known as Tanjung Rhu) at around 340pm.. we took around 2 hours to get there!! imagine how much energy i used.. so tiring..but along the way, we had waves bringing our boat up and down..hehe.. ^_^
We had our lunch (which consisted of sandwiches, bananas and biscuits..)..took some pictures..rested and we set off again at 415pm..this time i went with JE..(Kelvin changed us..he has his reasons i guess..)and CC went with SW.. there was this guy who went on a single kayak but was too tired halfway that he decided to find his own way up the shore.. which was not the right thing to do! Kelvin and Damon had to go back to find him..and they capsized on their way to the shore..haha.. (they can save themselves one.. 2 pros..)
Before we got up on shore again, we gathered near to the buoy to allow the single kayaks to go up 1st..avoid kayak jam..so we played exchange kayaks.. first those at the front exchange places..then those at the back.. just to show how steady a kayak can be.. hmmm.. no one fell into the water.. then we had to wash the kayaks, paddles n life jackets.. me n sw left earlier as i had to finish my lab reports.. JE came with us..while the rest stayed to go for dinner together..which lead me to a "pharmer has no life" conclusion..could have enjoyed the kayaking more if i did not have reports presurring my brain..sigh.. but it was fun..and definitely want to go again!! yeah!!

KC was so hyper that night, he was uncontrollable..i shall let the next pic speak for itself..

KC put this napkin on my head! and i was so shocked cause when i realised somehting touching my head, my 1st thought was Aman!! and Aman couldnt possibly be at the reunion dinner..then i realised it was st**pid KC..*phew*
But then i decided the almost bald KC was more suitable to model the napkin.. so, came this pic!! told you he was uncontrollably hyper.. he even danced in his seat...and just couldnt keep still...

Me and Yan Min..the only 2 girls from our AJ batch who went back for the Reunion Dinner..not that we have that many girls to start with..

me n Wu Chean.. undeniably the most "shuai" guy in RIB during my time.. as cc said, in my opinion only larr.. and YM's too.. by the way, he is 17++...hahah.. (^_^)v

kini bebas~

That is the title of the song sung by Daniel in Spectaculars 4.. and also describe my feelin.. being freed from Centennial Concert..will never happen again in the next 100 years.. and i wont be able to witness the next centennial performance.. to those who missed our performance, too bad.. anyway, i was feelin so relieved i guess, after the concert..couldnt stop smiling..just like after my last A levels paper..
hehe..
am very tired now..cause was too high just now..
but was feelin quite ok after i finally said out one of my problems to my friends.. and they gave me some constructive advices.. not that i always have this kind of problem..and it is totally rare that i say it out.. hmm.. feel better..should say out next time..hehe ^_^

we did some crazy things in the lab today..(Dosage Form Design Lab)

Then my groupmates decided to take pics of us with this weird looking equipment.. so we asked for permission and got it...took it with my hp camera..and i accidentally set the pic size to "extended"..thus i look fat.. extended horizontally.. (>.<) erm..whats the equipment called again? we even took a video demonstrating the way to fill the thing with liquorice extract...like making traditional chinese medicine..fun..but terrible smell..

RIB 10th Reunion Dinner 2005

Well, as the title suggest, my friends and I went to the 10th anniversary reunion dinner in Raffles Boarding School.. we might have been the youngest batch to be back..cause we left the boarding school merely 2-3 years ago..not many people wanted to go intially, but then we ended up with 2 tables of 20 people which was not bad at all..thanks to JE.. KC and Eugene H came from KL and YM came all the way from Penang.. not entirely for the dinner..but partly..and the other part is to meet up with ex-AJCians and her *ahem* (clear throat..hehe ) It cost $20 which is kinda ex for a dinner.. and it's in the dining hall..though i had always like RIB's dining hall..it can turn very pretty everytime we have formal dinner..which is once a sem.. My life in RIB might have been the most stressful time of my life, but the experience had been the most exciting too.. RIB really provided an enjoyable boarding life to all the boarders.. every sem we'll have a Courtyard Dinner where all the lights in the courtyard will be lighted.. once every 2 sem, we will have social night..though i didnt really like that la..a bit sien.. and every sem we have the Formal Dinner..since the ratio of girls to guys in RIB is 1:4, the girls will be dispersed among the guys.. the places meant for girls to sit will have a rose on it.. ^_^ but this tradition was somehow forgotten nearer to the end of my second year..or was it my last formal dinner in RIB, where we were allowed to sit wherever we wanted..
Yesterday's dinner was almost the same as our usual formal dinner.. except

we have to pay for it
the appetiser was better.. there were squids, big prawns and something in a shell.. (never like anything in a shell but that thing was ok..)
and the dessert was better also..usually we have cheapo stuff..but we had cheese cake..in more generous portion than we ever had during our formal dinner (not very big la.. )
the tables were for 10 person per table..so it's arranged in squarish form.. ( we used to sit at long tables..)
and less people i guess..

hmm.. when the guest of honour arrived..there were still empty places..and we heard that current boarders were forced to fill up the place and pay for it too.. guess 10th anniversary is really young..and many of the boarders didnt not feel like comin back to meet their old friends since most of them are still keepin in touch.. all the house staffs during our time came back... which was great.. though i was not very very close to them..talking about that..i didnt see the current house staff..those that i was closer to..hmm..

anyway, the dinner was quite fun...cause KC was super hyper yesterday nite..dancing around in his sit..then someone revealed a super surprising scandal during our time in AJ that none of us knew except EH.. tsk tsk tsk.. then some others were revealed..hehe..a table of 8 gua ppl..

there were also performances by current and ex-boarders.. Krishna sang..he sang during our formal dinner too..and he is very very very good in singin.. then he partnered another guy..with one more guy at the piano to sing "Thats what friends are for".. NICE ^_^ .. and the pianist himself, Amos sang an Indonesian song.. then there were a duet by 2 PRCs.. a violin player..and a performance by ex boarder of 7-8 years ago..singin "I will always love you"..

then we took pix.. with the AJ gang and the best lookin guy in RIB when we were staying ther..haha ( in YM's and my humble opinion la..) btw, the guy or actually boy was only in Sec 1 when we were there..so now he's 17 going on 18..haha.. generally had a good time la..being in the compund again.. (=n_n=)\/

then me, YM, JE, CC, ferry, KC, and Hieu went to Clarke Quay..since we are not very rich..we went to 7-eleven to get a drink and sat by the riverside..stoning and talkin occasionally though YM n F were talkin most of the time..hehe...and CC realised that my fourth toe is longer than my 3rd..which is kinda weird.. hmm.. unique, k.. i should snap a pic of my feet when i'm more free.. aiyak..should continue reading up on my project..sigh.. 2 weeks of sem 1 flew right past my eyes.. work piling up..and so is my laziness..

Stairway to heaven~~~~~

Just watched the 2nd episode of "Stairway to Heaven", a Korean drama... I'd never really like Korean dramas.. don't know why.. i prefer Korean movie though.. and my favourite Korean actor is WonBin ^_^ (watched Brotherhood)..Lee Dong Gun is another of my favourite.. even though Lee Dong Gun is usually not my type, but after watchin that drama with Chae Rim, i...sigh... Lee Bung Hyun is ok..saw him personally before at Bishan Junction 8.. he speaks good English and is very polite and friendly.. got nice smile also..
my current favourite is from "Stairway to heaven"!!!

Baek Sung Hyun!!! argh!! he has the nicest smile i have ever seen.. the young lead actress in the drama is also very cute.. two of them look so cute together..

guess how old is he?

I thought he is about 18 or 19..
When i told HY he's really cute, she said i'm really into di di..(small brother look) .. she added that he is really young.. but how young?

So, i went googling..and found that his birthdate is 30th Jan 1989..which makes him 16 only!!! 16!! makes me feel so old.. i'm 21.. nonetheless, should continue watchin "stairway to heaven" though i feel the older version of him in the drama-> Sang Woo is less cute..wuahahha.. ^_^

Random thought of the day

Random thought 1: It's nice to wake up early once in a while.. not just to be there for the 8am class.. but just to feel the early morning breeze..and the cold shower ( the solar heater in R5 is spoiled >.~) .. went o UCC to work at 8am today..i can only work til 930am as i had class a 10am.. my dear friends were late..sigh.. we just need to help label the envelopes and stapler brochures..
Random thought 2: while on the bus alone early in the morning, i thought of something.. i like guys who smell good.. dont have to put on tonnes of cologne or anything..just dont smell bad..i realised i cant stand the smell of guys drenched in perspiration.. (>.<) .. nice smelling guys.. ^_^
Random thought 3: some guys are so ungentlemanly, it's irritating..sigh..you dont have to hold the door or pull out the chair for girls..but if a guy ask girls to carry heavy things while he is not holding to anything at all.. or leave the girls to carry all the heavy things while they just pretend not to look.. (>.<)
Random thought 4: Be nice to people makes you happy! ^_^ it really does.. just simple acts like holding the lift door open for others to come in.. give directions.. give up seats in the mrt.. even a very simple SMILE.. It really makes you happier.. i know it works for me.. ^_^ especially when the person you helped is grateful.. GREAT!
Random thought 5: time flies... argh...

random thoughts..

Is being in single-sex school better or worse than being in a co-ed school?
I had been in single-sex school all my primary and secondary school life.. quite pathetic huh.. so sheltered and unexposed..haha.. not only that, my primary and secondary school is affliated..which means my classmates had been with me for 11 years! since P1.. we know each other as well as we know our siblings.. and all of them are girls la..even 99% of the teachers are women.. why ar? cause (in secondary school especially), men teachers get too much attention from hormone-raging teenage girls..haha.. not me though cause i had never been interested in men that old.. and my hormone not that *heong* (violent..hehe)..
There's another problem with being in an all girl school..Higher chance of being lesbians...I have nothign against them..i have friends who labelled herself as "male".. hmm.. am i one too? nay..i like guys too much ( my friends can testify to this..hahahha) maybe cause i'm bored of girls.. I have 3 sisters and no brothers..my friends were all girls.. and my close cousins are 80% girls.. usualy at family gatherin, there will only be 2 guy cousins..hahah.. pity them sometimes.. cause you know normal young boys dont like to mix with girls..( i mean really young time..like in primary school?and early sec) if one of the cousins did not turn up, the other one will just sit at the side all by himself.. and he's the super quiet type..
well, after being in all girl school for so many year, i'm super comfortable hanging out with girls only..and super comfortable in forgetting about including guy friends..as commented by YJ: when we were in JC, the girls were anti-social..don't go out..only study.. well, i told him we did go out but since 99% of us( or was it 100%) were from all girls school all our life, we tend to forget about hanging out with guys.. or actually never thought of it..haha..
So, I have this ..erm..flaw? disadvantage? dont know what it's called.. kecacatan? that i tend to be nervous around the opposite sex.. ( i mean used to be.. ^_^) I still do now when I kinda like the guy..*lolx* maybe i shldnt blog this at all..considering Aman reads my blog..and Aman will tell everybody... and AMAN will laugh at me.. and AMAN will so threaten me next time.. but i just thought of it while bathing just now.. I was missing somebody a few days ago..when i met him today and needed to pass things to him, my hands were shaking (praying hard he didnt realise).. i was never nervous when talking to him le.. maybe used to be when I likeD him.. but now? I also have a disease..will be dumb in front of very cun guys.. I totally got nothing to say..cun in my definition.. see previous posts on the list of cun guys in my humble opinion.. ^_^
In conclusion, I will not want to send my children to single-sex school.. although these schools seem to produce more intellectual students.. just look at RI, RGS, Chinese High, Catholic High ( all top secondary schools in Sg..all single-sex).. look at Chung Ling High School Penang, PEnang Free School, Penang Chinese Girls' School..( all top schools in Penang and some top in the country too..) too early to think about it la..*slap myself awake* back to work! ^_^

exhausted~

(>.<) it is just the first week of school without labs and i'm totally exhausted already.. next week, i'm going to have 9 more hours of labs.. misery.. I had 8am to 8pm class yesterday..with 2 breaks in between but one of the break, i had meeting with Rotaract members.. we were planning to be involved in a community service for pre-school children in Clementi.. the other break was eaten up by attending a boring Physics public lecture by a Nobel laureate.. too "chim" for me..
(>.<) found out that all my 3 core modules have project work..i'm doomed! cause i'm taking a non-examinable module this sem..which means i will have project for that too..and 2 term tests.. last sem i had 2 projects and only 2 minor term tests and i already "died-ed" ..this sem will die terribly.. 4 projects + 2 major term tests and more minor term tests+ 3 practical tests.. and lab reports+ assignments..
(>.<) was so tired yesterday and hungry cause we took lunch at 5pm..and the stupid vending machine in my residence refused to sell Milo..so i desperately had to walk further to another residence to buy it.. but more recharged after that.. and spend so long checking the Malaysian Idol forum..i am hopelessly addicted to it!! HELP!! need to get myself out.. then only i realised i promised to send the "BINGO program booklet" to my senior and i havent even typed it yet.. more misery..hadn't even bathed.. sigh..
(>.<)when i'm finally done, and wanted to go and bath and have a good night sleep, hy called..she's downstairs with lk..and they wanted to come for a visit...by then. i was more awake and even more hungry..so i followed hy back to her room where she cooked supper for me!! yeah!! seafood noodle( instant one larr) plus my cabbage and carrot..haha.. then we watched "Guess" together..hahah..and i walked back to my room at 1+am.. feeling more energised than ever.. Thanks HY!!

Althought it was quite late, there were still so many people walking around.. especially in the foyer..mostly SEP students.. live in PGP will never be the same without them..the are the life of the otherwise mundane lifeless PGP (which is very unlike halls..) glad to have them around.. at least i felt safe walking back to my room..and i can walk slower, enjoying the cool night breeze.. nice feeling. (^_^)

Something's missing~

I don't know why but i had just been hit by a wave of the "missing somebody" feeling.. Why? Have you ever think back and smiled at the happy moments you had.. or the way someone smiled that made you smile too everytime you think back.. or just the image of that someone that can make you smile instantly..make your heart swell and feelin sweet all over..

(before anyone misunderstand, i'm not in love larr.. )

Just a nice feeling.. i'm not having the "missing-somebody-so-badly-it-hurts" feeling.. i don't know how to describe my feeling now.. but it's in a positive way..( but now my hand hurts.. >.<)
I stupidly cut a long line across my right arm..and it hurt so badly i couldnt lift it up...it became better but it still hurt.. *sob sob*

today, all the lifts in my residence broke down!! i had to climb from level B1 to level 6!! so tired.. then all the LAN connection went haywire!! (>.~) sigh.. tmr got 8am-8pm class.. my fri sucks.. but my life's fine..

CW, Cheryl and me! Cheryl is one half of the MI2 hosts and the most friendly celebrity that night.. ever smiling.. and sweet.. reminded us to go and watch the Result Show on Sunday..^_^

Then we spotted cute JIEN! he looked tired and stressed out but willingly took photo with us also..even asked his friend to help us to take the photo as there was no free to help around us.. then he walked away while still talking animatedly to the rest of the crew.. in ang moh kind of English.. can't stop him from talking can we.. he returned minutes later cause he forgot to take something..haha.. ^_^

i'm super lazy to blog~

Had i been busy? maybe.. cause it's the last few days of holiday and i have to spend them well.. But, sadly, i had been in front of the comp, in my room wearing my mashi maro pyjamas for many nites.. Other than that, i had been to many many harmo practices.. Centennial Concert is very very near.. and we are not well prepared for an event as big as this.. this concert will only be held once in a 100 years.. we will be collaborating with chinese orchestra, chinese dance, dance synergy and chinese drama.. and we need to fill up at least 95% of UCC hall to get 40% of our ticket sales money into our orchestra fund, which will channel into our Japan trip next year.. sigh.. in order to do that, we battle our shyness and pester people to buy our tickets..
I even went back to AJ Harmo Band to sell tics.. but luckily, me n XH persuaded 35 to go with us.. he can really talk lar.. and i only had to talk to the President and teacher in charge (>.<).. but nice people overall..hopefully can sell some tics..

Back to the had i been busy these few days?

Went to Expo: Booksale, Sports Sale, John Little Sale.. bought some stuff.. and ate in Macau Express.. not bad..the only one in Singapore ler.. ;)

Went to Changi MRT..didnt even see the airport cause YJ came out by himself.. *sweat* .. but got Victoria Secret Body spray as souvenir.. though the smell a little too strong but VIctoria Secret wor.. branded..and from US.. ^_^

Went to Fong Seng: went on Saturday nite cause we thought last nite of fun! Mon starts school.. year 2 sem 1.. eee... but then tonight when again cause YJ came back from US n Taiwan.. saw many people tonight.. saw Gerald and Eugene.. Ian Rhee.. ( though dont know him well) .. saw Hui Lian walked pass ( didnt see me..) .. saw dinesh, Minh and gang.. then saw the Dr-to-be from Kenya.. ( can't remember his name..whoops)

I was feeling quite pathetic on Mon nite cause it was a holiday eve and i was sitting in my room after harmo pract, wearing my pyjamas and watching lousy tv program.. sad life i have.. or actually,no life man! and today, i had a meeting ... on National Day holiday... sigh... then went to see the closing ceremony of the unofficial PGP orientation.. they had a sharing session and i was called to share my experience when i first came to PGP.. "lucky" hor.. don't know the freshies that well.. just know a few..cause non interest me.. maybe one but that one is not active in the group also.. but i said something that made them laugh.. maybe the way i said it..hehe..
Sometimes i say things that make my friends laugh hysterically.. but it wasn't meant to be that funny.. hmm.. i wonder why? sometimes my jokes are meant to be real funny but my friends just dont get it.. (>.~)
different wave length i guess.. hahha..

My continuation to my KL trip is still in draft.. too long.. and sometimes i need to rethink to remember more details.. and i had failed to post pictures le.. sienz.. i thought blogspot's picture function improved..

There is no class tmr.. and guess i should really do my laundry tmr, settle HO's stuff and rest well cause the battle is beginning..although only have one lecture on Thu.. but i have 4 lectures on Fri..yucks! 8am-8pm..my worst day!! sh*t!! and got concert full run tmr at UCC... argh!!

I'm so bored..

I went to watch "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".. WARNING: Do Not Go and Watch this Show with an Empty Stomach!
hahaha..
I woke up kinda late today and we caught the 1225pm show..so we left PGP at 1130am.. i only took a cup of cereal and a piece of biscuit...
How was the movie? Personally, i like it ...It's very cute and nice..and all those chocolates.. :P and Johny Depp..hehhe.. and "Charlie" is also very cute! though the storyline was kinda predictable, it's still ok.. after the show, my head went, "Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka..." hahaha.. the movie made me crave for chocolate bars even more..especially the large, dairy milk bar.. yum..yum..
Then we went to Taka to eat..WY and KY bought me and Khim birthday presents..a personalised keychain..with our names on it..nice..thanks! ^_^ and then we bought a pillow for Suwan..we also bought another personalised keychain for WX, with a Fortune Cat on it..hahah..
I ate Nasi Padang at Taka foodcourt.. the Ayam Sumbu looked tasty but it's not as interesting as i thought..but still nice.. but the best thing was the different types of sambal offered.. a deep red one, a red one, a green one and another is chili in soy sauce.. i tried the 1st 3 types.. GOOD.. each quite special in its own way..a little spicy only but fragrant..

Reached my room at nearly 5pm.. and started my tv spree..
5pm: 100% entertainment
6pm: busy contacting ppl for NUSHO, then went to bath..
630pm: watched a show ..but seriously can't remember it now..
730pm: i watched 2 shows at the same time..one on channel U, one on 5.. (sh*t! my memory is giving up on me..)
830pm: Channel U Superstars+Singapore Brainiest Kid
9pm: Superstars + Joey
930pm: was suppose to go down for a walk..then saw suwan online and talked til 10pm cause she was watchin Malaysian Idol Diary..and i feared i might appear on tv as i was filmed when i went to The Curve..shouting at the camera to "Vote Daniel" (>.<) ..luckily i didnt appear.. *phew*
10pm: Take My Words For It
11pm: The O.C. !!! (had been trying to find this show's timeslot..found it..now i need to find "One Tree Hill and Desperate Housewives timeslots..)

so bored! should go to sleep early..after The O.C.. tomorrow is a brand new day..
