The day before yesterday was MY birthday! :)

Special thanks to (from left) Yu Xin, Thunder, Irene and Sze Huey... for celebrating my birthday at midnight although everyone is very very tired from shopping! and climbing the 280 steps to the Big Buddha Statue.. :)
Thanks for the Honey cake, Haagen Daz and roses.. :)

My birthday was spent in Shenzhen, China~

Special thanks to my nephew who waited for us for MORE THAN AN HOUR at the Shenzhen border! Thank you so much for bringing us around... :)

Kingway beer.. cause the weather was too warm!

Very delicious dishes! especially like the spare ribs that we need to BBQ over the small fire by its side... yummy! :)

very cute coins~ for their Metro (MRT).. you don't slot the coins in but it functions just like our Ez-link card.. tap it at the gate.. :)

My nephew bought us to a very big bookstore... the books were very cheap! But I only bought a piano scores book cause I can't read chinese... Sigh...

Dinner @ Tung Hai Seafood Restaurant

With my relatives in China.. uncle, cousins, nephews and nieces... 2 tables full of them!

The food was excellent! Most of them I had never eaten before.. I like the oyster a lot! and there were also escargot.. I didn't dare to try it at first cause it does not look too appetizing.. But once I put it in my mouth, it's tasty! :)

There were MORE than TEN dishes! everything was tasty :)

The fish head was really good too..

The dish on the right is a famous dish consists of parts of a goose.. there goose heads.. intestines etc.. I didn't dare to eat this..

Kingway beer for lunch.. XO for dinner! I didn't even finish one small cup..

Then there was the 象拔蚌刺参Sashimi.. I don't know what it is.. I just know it's sashimi and I like sashimi.. My nephew said it's sea snail..*erm..*
But when my friends came over to join us, one of my friends was so excited cause she said it's an expensive dish and it's really delicious..

My friend finished 2 small cups of XO in exchange for this delicious dessert! It's sweet potatoes and yam in honey and sesame seeds.. It's very nice! :)

In the end, we were all sooooo full.... It was such a fulfilling day to the stomach... It was not my normal way of celebrating birthday.. There was no birthday cake (the conventional type).. There was no wrapped presents... (but I got angpows..HeHe)...

But there were all these great people that made my birthday extra special!

Thanks to my China relatives a lot for their warmth and good food... :)

Thanks to everyone who wished me on my birthday and those who left messages for me!

I'm one year older and not too happy about it! HaHa.. One year smarter ;)
