Today, I finally finished my Continuous Assessments marathon! :D
Before the Pharmaceutical Analysis test today, we received the hospital attachment posting. I got my FIRST choice! A lot of people (I daresay most of my coursemates) indicated National University Hospital(NUH) as their first choice. NUH is only taking in 3 students in the first batch and 2 students in the second batch.... And I got into NUH 1st batch... o_O I should be really happy except the fact that now,I wants to work in the second batch... Why do I like to make stupid decisions that further complicates my life? Sigh... I applied for 1st batch initially because I wanted to join a summer program in the second half of my 3 months holidays...At that time, I was torn between taking a risk in case I got into the program or forgoing the summer program and work in camps before the attachment.. One involves spending extra money while the latter involves earning money.. But desire ruled and I opted for the first shift just in case I got into the summer program... However, I was not shortlisted for the program... So, now I am stuck with hospital attachment in the 1st batch and no job in the 2nd half... I can go look for a job for the 2nd half of the holiday but I have a job waiting for me, just not at the right time.. Money waiting for me to earn them... My only hope now is to exchange with a coursemate... The thing that is holding me back from exchanging is the fact that I got into NUH... After hearing many different opinions, I guess I'm rather open to exchange now.. Even if it means going to Singapore General Hospital (SGH), which is very good BUT stressful! o_O
Anyway, the GOOD news is we had found ourselves a new HOME! :D KY, Thunder, CMi, Bird, Ebi and I planned to move out in June... After calling numerous agents, we finally went to view a house on Saturday... It was at Tiong Bahru, and we like the location because it has direct bus to NUS, it's near MRT station and it has buses to town... The building looks good too and it has coffeeshops, foodcourt and market nearby.. But the house itself was not satisfactory.. The rooms were BIG! but the place was so dirty and messy.. has a small kitchen and only ONE bathroom! *sigh* And the agent insisted that we move in April.. the latest we are allowed to move in is 15th April! That's the start of our reading week... We decided not to rent the place in the end...
Today, we were suppose to view a unit in Clementi and another in Choa Chu Kang... After viewing the Clementi unit, we rather like it.. The location was good cause it's really near NUS... it's near to MRT.. accessible by buses...and the Best thing is the owner allows us to move in May... the only bad thing about it is the master bedroom is rather small for 3 person to share.. It's just big enough for the beds and wardrobe.. So, we would have to study in the living room or dining room.. After much discussion and looking around, we'd decided to rent the place! We'll be moving in May, after our last examination paper on 2nd May... :D Finally settled the problem of finding for a place to stay next semester!
Except the minor problem of hospital attachment, the day was almost perfect :)
