At home!

Last Friday was my last day of work..followed by Funtime organised by some of my coursemates. It was at a condo's function room at Toa Payoh... nice place with very nice swimming pool... Rich people's place...
However, the turn out was not too good... Many of our coursemates were too tired to make the trip to Toa Payoh... Only 1 pathetic preceptor came.. and the Assistant Pharmacy Practice Manager came. We had 4 exchange students who joined us though...
The food was not too bad... Actually they were pretty good cause i ate a lot.. or was it caused by the fact that I had been hungry for too long... You know, counting my money while eating at Orchard Road.. which made me quite deprived of food in that 6 weeks...Thanks to those who treated me drinks when they had meals with me.. like papa and nice pharmacist ^_^
We played a few games... some people won prizes and there was a lucky draw.. most of the prices were chocs..hehe... which i stole from some people to eat cause i didnt win any.. i was too tired to participate actively in anything...
But i seriously ate a lot! A lot of the longan plus fruit punch that I mixed myself.. cause the longan was with the almond jelly, served as dessert.. I hate almond.. Can't stand the smell and taste of it..so I had to mix the longan with the fruit punch to get rid of the smell..wahaha..
I left with SJ and we took the long bus ride home.. I slept almost all the way, which was about an hour... >_<
On Saturday, XH and Je accompanied me to JB for JB half day tour! yeah...1st thing we did was to check out the movies screening in the cinema.. sadly, no Dragon Tiger Gate :(
So we bought tickets to watch Lady in the Water instead... Before the movie, we ate in Secret Recipe.. yeah!! something that we wouldnt eat in Sg cause it's so expensive..hehe... But we met the blurrest waitress ever.. Let's call her BlurTown waitress... Imagine the situation:

Me: Lemon Cheese
XH: New York Cheese
JE: Yoghurt Cheese..
BT (BlurTown) waitress: so, 2 New York cheese is it?
All 3 of us: HUH?!! (and repeated our orders..)
Then we ordered drinks....
JE: Banana Milkshake
BT waitress: Banana Chocolate..
All 3 of us: BANANA MILKSHAKE!

waited....

and waited.....

took other people's newspaper and read....

waited....while turning 360 degrees to look for BT waitress...

cake came... yeapz.. ONE SLICE OF CAKE came...Lemon Cheese
Another waiter who brought the cake explained that they are out of New York Cheese and Yoghurt Cheese.. no apology though... never mind...
Waiter asked BT waitress to re-take our order.

BT waitress came and I asked her what cakes are available...

BT waitress: This, this, this, and this... all except New York Cheese And Raspberry Cheese...
XH: Classic Cheese
JE: Oreo Cheese

(as you can see, we die die must eat cheesecake...hahaha..)

Waited...
And waited....
And more waiting....

Then Oreo Cheese came! yeah!!

Eh, Oreo Cheese came alone.. waitress has 2 hands... Cheesecakes came from the same counter... But Oreo Cheese came alone...

I couldnt take it anymore, so I waved my hand frantically in the air and told the waiter that our cake had not arrived...
No apology again...
After even more waiting, another waitress appeared with the cake, put it on the table and mumbled "Classic Cheese".. no apology at all!!

Is this what we call service? And they are unashamedly charging us 10% service charge...

But we were on a happy mood.. We were on a happy trip.. to eat cheesecake, watch movie, maybe do some shopping..and I was going home!
So, we ate our cakes... XH not too happy with her Classic Cheese but the cakes were fine...

Then it was time for bill... Haihz.. Raised our hands frantically again and waited.... waited ... waited for the bill...

The table next to us was waiting for their bills too and when theirs came, it was the WRONG BILL with the WRONG CHANGE inside!! The man was furious and told BT waitress that it was the wrong bill... BT waitress took the bill, didnt say sorry and stood there with her blank expression.. she didnt know what to do... Theirs was settled when we got our bill....
I glanced at the amount and thought that it was rather expensive... I didnt notice the itmes on the bill though... But when our change came, I realised were overcharged!!
Apparently, BT waitress didnt cancel the previous 2 cake orders that were unavailable..instead, she added in our new replacement order... so we were charged for 5 cakes instead of 3!!
Whoa! the "fire" very big already... I marched to the cashier and told the waiter.. he took the bill from me without even saying sorry...
Moments later, another waitress appeared with the correct billand the correct change.. By the way,she just dropped the bill on the table.. no apology again!
What's wrong with saying sorry...especially if you are on the wrong side! I worked in service industry before and we were obliged to say sorry... "Sorry to keep you waiting..".."Sorry we do not have stock for this".. "Sorry but could you wait while i check"... "Sorry, I',m not too sure but could you hold on while i check for you?"

Haihz..

Went for the movie.. Well, it's quite a cheem story...hehe.. and irritating people in the cinema were saying "whoa..sexy-nya..." when the character was only wearing a shirt...and laughed unnecessarily... Haihz.. I was already in irritable mood... The movie was alright i guess, but JE gave it one word - "So?" ...Hahaha...

Then we went for dinner at Kenny Roger's ... This time, we were served by a rude waitress.. She didnt smile a bit... and when she accidentally dropped her menu, she didnt say sorry to us but grumbled to herself "ISH..#$#%$^$" (don't know what she said to herself la.. but it felt like "Ish, serving customers are so #$$^%^&")
Her few lines were:

"Black pepper or original?!"
"You! you! you!"
"No, dont have!"

Whatever happened to "Would you like to have Black pepper or original flavour?"
" How about you Miss?"
"Sorry, we do not have that at the moment."

Are we asking too much?
Luckily the food was good.. the chicken was very nice! :)
But they overcharged us too! There was an extra muffin in the bill that we didnt order... So weird right??
And did i mention, many things that JE ordered was not available? Hahaha..

Then both of them send me off at Merlin Tower....

Reached home on early Sunday morning... I woke up to an unknown bus station with the sign "Sungai Nibung Pulau Pinang"!!
I was on Penang Island.. overslept and I missed my stop... was feeling so sucky cause the driver did not asked all the passengers where they stopping.. and it was written on my bus ticket, "Butterworth"!!
My dad had to pay RM7.70 more to cross the bridge and not to mention the petrol..hate that driver..

But we saw the sun rise on the Penang Bridge... very nice! It started with a red line near the horizon... then it became half a sun and finally the whole sun was out! It was very red cause of some haze... took this with my phone's camera..It is so much nicer in reality!

Went for Dim Sum breakfast as usual.. And i ate more than usual.. went back home to take a nap...then had this famous Fried Hor Fun for lunch... very gooD! then slack slack..and read The Sunday Star...(hadnt done that for a long time ma..)
My dad bought durian! and dukong...(something like langsat..)
The durian was very fragrant!! yummy!!!! and i finished half of the dukong also....

Big sis and family came for dinner... Seafood dinner at Pantai Bersih...
Where we saw the sunset... HAPPY!!! Have you seen the sun rise and the sun set on the same day?? I know I just did- yesterday...
The food was good.. There were fish, prawns, vege and tofu with eggs... the prawns were super fresh and sweet!

My dad met his friend so they sat there chatting while me and bis sis's family went to the beach..
I used to come here a lot when I was younger.. Then they were building this and that.. and land reclamation.. I thought it would never be the same again.. But i was quite wrong... There were so many people on the beach.. kites were flying so high... people fishing and children making sandcastles... It was a beautiful sight..My niece enjoyed it a lot too!

Then I went to the Buddhist Association for prayers for the lunar 7th month.. After I reached home, I already visited 3 temples with my dad.. phew...

Now i have roti canai waiting by my side.. shall publish and eat! (such a long post)
