I just went to watch the movie.. with 4 girls and a guy.. my main reasons for watchin it was that it is banned in Msia..and it is an award winning show.. the only thing i know about the movie is gay cowboys...plus, the leads are cute larr.. so, we chiong into the cinema to watch it.. and we got tramautised at the beginning.. it just seems a little unnatural to me.. but as the story proceeds, i felt the pain and sorrow of the 2 lead characters... and Jake Gyllenhaal's beautiful big eyes make it all worse..20 years of love... how many relationship can last that long today? and a socially not fully acceptable kinda relationship.. despite all the hardship, obstacle and the physical distance, their love for each other survived all that.. but the ending is a sad one.. really really sad.. especially when Ennis went to Jack's room and found Jack's blue shirt on top of his own shirt that was stained with blood during their fight... and in the very end when Ennis shirt was hung on top of Jack's shirt instead... and the postcard of Brokeback Mountain by its side... I really like the movie.. the more i think about it, the more sadness i feel.. and it makes me feel depressed now... so i went to the the official website and found some short clips of the movie..and re-watch them.... :'( Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal's acting were great! they seemed so in love... and so in pain when they can't be together... and it seemed so cruel that the society cannot accept them.. But i guess movie, being an art and all is subjective.. one of my friends who went with us didnt like the movie.. she thinks it's kinda boring..and she would rather watch somethign else.. though i agree that some parts of the movie are quite draggy, i wouldnt say it's boring.. So, go watch it! for guys, you might want to be more mentally prepared.. cause my guy friend was a little traumatised.. and my friend's bf was also tramautised..
