Daniel !!
watched Malaysian Idol 2 Grand Finale just now..and the 2 hours literally flew pass.. so fast.. argh..not enough.. i want more!! wahahaha...
Both of them did equally well.. not like last year when the winner was so obvious..
Daniel sang the winner's single "Mimpi" first..and the music was so loud it drowned his voice.. sigh..blame the sound technician..and he was quite nervous too but he got better towards the end of the song.. and his second song was "Heaven Knows"..very predictable..as was his last song "Angin Malam".. but Daniel did really really well for both songs tonight.. especially the falsetto parts for "Heaven Knows" were flawless..totally superb!!! with "Angin Malam", he totally menjiwai the song.. and made it his own.. really really superb performances..
And Daniel was so good in answering question tonight..haha.. maybe he went for communication crash course..
Nita was great for "Berhenti Berharap"... and that was her first song..so comparatively, Daniel lose out in the first round of songs as Mimpi wasnt great.. For her second song, Nita sang "Big Spender" which was ok too but i still prefer her version in the Spectaculars..and her third song was "Mimpi"..and when she sang, i realised it's not Daniel's soft voice..the music is really LOUD!! Nita needed to shout to be able to be heard over the super loud accompaniment.. hmm.. and i don't think the song suited her..cause it's more Indo PopRock and it's a Malay song..
So, in conclusion, Daniel did not disappoint me.. but Nita was equally good.. all the judges' comments were good today..so no point discussing them as they looked so rehearsed.. I hope Daniel can win..but i won't be very disappointed if he doesn't win also..cause he finally showed his critics that he can truly sing and be a superstar.. though he looked real small when standing beside Nita..haha
Nita and Daniel did a duet of "You'll be in my heart" (Malay and English version) ..with the rest of the Top 11 too.. great ending to a great show tonight.. impatiently waiting for result show tomorrow..
